My hubby knows that I am a big fan of Korean food, so he brought me to Seoul Yummy for our lunch today. Everything looks nice on the menu & we had difficulty choosing what to eat for lunch! We had potato pancake for appetizer but it was served only after we were in the midst of eating our main dish! Haha
The potato pancake tastes good with the dipping sauce. Love the crispy skin, really made us craved for more. We shared the ice lemon tea as it is quite a big glass. Aiyu jelly with lemon tea is really a nice combination, very thirst quenching.

Army's stew with assorted meat is very yummy! There are many ingredients inside the big pot such as noodles, beef, chicken, pork, luncheon meat, beancurd, carrot, vegetables, sausages, fish cake, korean rice cake, etc. The soup is very sweet & I love the tomato taste as baked beans are added as well. Very satisfying meal on a rainy day =)

There are 6 small portions of side dishes, simply love them all. My hubby's favourite is the spicy fried ikan bilis. Very addictive indeed! Kimchi is very flavourful & crunchy. The highlight is the dessert. We had Pat Bingsoo, its a bowl of crushed ice, top with soft azuki beans & bits of jelly cubes plus a swirl of yoghurt ice cream. It is a very nice & refreshing dessert but we can't finish the whole bowl as we were already quite full.

We will definitely return to the restaurant to try their other set meals in future! Thumbs up for the food =)

The kimchi-based broth wasn't as original as those in Korea. I've been here on couple of occassions and I find that the food was mediocre. But if you crave for Korean food and can't get the best one, you might want to settle for the second or even third best.

As for the dessert, we chose Yogurt with Jellies. This dessert was amazing! The soft serve yogurt was accompanied with jellies, mango, and kiwi slices, on top of shaved ice. Love the balance between the sour yogurt and the sweet jellies.

Six side dishes, and a healthier choice of multi-grain rice, inclusive. You can also opt for white rice too!

We had the Fried Kimchi Dumplings for appetiser. Crispiness is just right, and fillings are super tasty.

Here's the highlight! Army Stew with meat, where we requested for only chicken and pork, excluding beef. Soup base is re-fillable as well, and from what I can identify, they have maggie mee, kimchi, golden mushroom, carrot, luncheon meat, and hotdog. Of course, the chicken and pork meat too!

We went for the Korean Bingsoo series, and chosen Special Trio Bingsoo ($6.90) out of the other two, Mango Bingsoo and Strawberry Bingsoo.

Special Trio Bingsoo consists of mango, strawberry, and kiwi. There are also jellies and aloe vera. This whole dessert is so satisfying *\o/*

The Amy Stew is stated to be meant for 2 but it only came with 1 rice, so we actually ordered another bowl of rice. However if you are not a big enough, 1 bowl of rice is enough to share as there are actually noodles in the stew.

The stew is very flavour, just a bit spicy and more salty. It seems to get saltier as you eat as well, might be due to the water getting evaporated throughout the meal.

Lots of ingredients is in the stew.. very fulfilling.

after hearing so much about their army stew, i finally headed down to try it! For $36.90, i got a large stew consisting of several meat and ingredients. the portion is supposed to be shared among 2 people. the quality of the food is certainly there and the soup base was very yummy. it was also quite spicy! This is something like korean steamboat except that ingredients are already chosen for you and soup is definitely more special. service was meticulous too

We paid for the meal which consists of the kimichi hot pot, small side dishes, small seafood pancake and a soft serve ice cream

The small dishes were refillable, i especially love the cold tofu so much

So much so that the waitress kindly give me a big bowl of it after me asking to refill a few times, service was that good!!!
The pancake was ok, the kimchi hot pot really is the best with lots of ingredients!!!
It was a good and satisfying portion for us three!!!
And the ice cream certainly cool us down after the dinner, yum yum

Portion was satisfying, a lot of ingredients. Definitely a healthy choice with right amount of veggies, meat and carbo, it was guilty-free. Waited it to cool down a while, I stirred, mixed up and scrapped lightly burnt rice at the bottom with the sauce. Of course I picked the SupaHot sauce, it was a very good try. Even anti-rice person like me, I also finished it up. Our meal not exceeds $30.00 for two person yet we very full end up. I must say Worth It.

Ginseng Chicken:
I enjoyed the soup a lot. It has a strong traditional herbal flavor and the soup is a bit creamy. But I don't really like the glutinous rice side the half chicken. The chicken soup comes with a bowl of brown rice. You can choose white rice if you want, but I think brown rice is a healthier choice.

Grilled Saba Fish:
The Saba fish is fantastic! It is juicy and tender. The sweet black sauce make the fish so flavorful!

Hot plate beef:
The beef is juicy as well. Very tasty.

Spicy rice cake:
Normal rice cake that you could have in any of the Korean restaurants.

Kimchi Fried rice:
My friend enjoyed this fried rice a lot.

They were generous with the rice but alas stingy with the toppings. The side dishes were substandard for a restaurnt. The ikan bills were rock hard and clumped together, not crispy and tasted stale. Next time I should have my bibimbap at the food court instead of Seoul Yummy at less than half the price!

Half chicken $15.90
Full chicken $24.90

If you ask me about this, I'll probably tell you " Give me a minute, let me finish this soup first. "
Haha! That's cause the soup is really authentic and non-diluted. Certain ginseng soup can taste really diluted because of the amount of ginseng and chicken placed in the broth while boiling it. Here, do not worry of diluted chicken soup because other than the main ingredients like chicken and ginseng, there's more to it in this soup! Give it a try, honestly!

Braised pork belly, I've tried it almost every where. But usually, It has it raw and I have to barbecue it. Right here, the pork belly is already braised and ready to eat, saves you the trouble!
Another great thing about it is the thinly sliced thickness, with minimal layer of fats, so it isn't as oily like how pork belly usually would be.

Feeling hungry, craving for something sour and spicy?
Here's the perfect side dish for you. The spicy rice cake was reallllyyyy spicy, and I meant it! Usually rick cakes at other restaurants don't taste so spicy, so I love the challenge presented to me in this dish. Bring it on!

Ala carte $36.90
For such a price, you get an enormous bowl of army's stew, how great is that? Looking at the presentation of the food was good enough to appetite me a lot. On top of that, the soup tasted thick with all the spices in it.
This also comes in assorted seafood.

Drop by Seoul Yummy for some affordable and yummy korean food!

Braised pork belly with kimchi
I do not eat pork belly yet this dish is to my liking! The braised pork belly is fatty and tender. I am guilty of only eating the meat though :x

Kimchi pancake
The pancake is very flavourful and with every bite, you can taste the kimchi in it. It tasted just like kimchi, except in a pancake version!
Besides kimchi pancake, they have other types of pancake as well such as the kimchi & seafood pancake and spicy chicken & cheese potato pancake!

Army's stew with assorted meat and seafood
FOOD PORN!
They have luncheon meat, fish, squid, sotong, prawns.etc inside. This has got to be my favourite among all the dishes that I have tried. The soup will be quite spicy for those of you who can't take spiciness. The spiciness is quite shiok and bearable though. I'm missing this already!
