From what I tasted in a mouthful , the rice was just average

This is it! They sell porridge as well, not bad if you want something different to go with your chicken.

Raw fish slices. $6.00 I was quite apprehensive towards eating raw fish slices with my chicken rice at first. But, since this is heavily recommended by people, I reckon it would not hurt to try this. Of course, I'm glad I tried it. This is really yummy. There is absolutely no fishy taste and it is marinated to the right extent, with lime, chili, parsley, spring onion. A must try if you dare to eat the raw fish slices!

Half a chicken $ 12.00. Of course, the main dish is the chicken. I like the sauce, but it may be a little on the salty side. The chicken is tender however, I find the skin not that well done and the chicken is on the fatty side. Personally, I like to savour the skin of the Hainanese Chicken Rice so nice skin is important to me!

The chicken rice from this coffee shop is one of my favourite. The chicken meat is very tender, soft and juicy, and goes really well with the soft fragrant chicken rice. The portion is quite generous and is sufficient to serve per adult. Usually here is often quite crowded during lunch and dinner hours daily, so do be there early to avoid the long wait and large crowd here.

I was told this is the same Sin Kee from Margaret Drive. I came here for lunch and ordered a white chicken drumstick rice. It was served with a good portion of nicely fragrant rice that cooked using the chicken soup. The meat tasted tender and smooth with a distinct taste of chicken. Their chilli tasted a little different from other stalls. It seemed to be a bit sweeter. Their standard is still the same as those good old days. It is worth a try if you happen to be in the vicinity.

The chicken indeed is still one of the best in town with its jelly like skin, tender and succulent meat. The chicken rice was also very fragrant even thought ginger was not used unlike the norm in most chicken rice stalls. Another important ingredient for chicken rice is the chili sauce which was excellent too. I have to say Sin Kee has it all, the chicken meat, rice and sauce.

Recently featured in the Chinese variety TV program Just Noodle: Episode 11 for their Chicken Noodle!

We tried out everything accept the Curry Fish Head as we were full tank by the time we emptied all the dishes we ordered.

At Sin Kee Famous Chicken Rice, you can have the option to choose half and half of the types of chicken. I will say for the price you pay, you will find it pretty worth it! It is simply fulfilling enough to just finish the chicken rice! My sis was complaining of the bone but oh well, Singaporeans are just too pamper at times that they prefer the boneless chicken rice. Of course, being Sin Kee Famous Chicken Rice, the chicken is serve in the traditional way with bone and big juicy portion!

Bak Kut Teh

I will say despite being famous for chicken rice, Sin Kee master the Bak Kut Teh very well too! In fact, it is much better than most of the Bak Kut Teh shop houses. It is not too peppery and it is very smoothing – not too thick. To perfect it, Sin Kee should serve red cut chili with the dark sauce to dip the pork rib.

Claypot Curry Chicken

I didn’t know curry chicken when pair with chicken rice does make a perfect pair. I finished the chicken rice in less than 5 minutes with the curry gravy. But mind the curry chicken as it is quite spicy but SHIOK! The curry gravy was thick enough and the chicken is tender, worth a try if you are heading to Sin Kee Famous Chicken Rice.

On separate visit we had the Curry Chicken Noodle and the Soya Sauce Chicken Noodle.

Curry Chicken Noodle

The curry use is different from the claypot curry, it is towards laksa taste. I like the potatoes in it, very soft. But i still prefer the claypot curry gravy over the laksa gravy.

Overall, I feel that although the price is rather steep, you can expect a very fulfilling meal of top quality and a wide variety. Sin Kee Famous Chicken Rice is currently doing a promotion: $30 for Chicken Rice Set Meal (4 Servings), Includes: 1 Whole Chicken, 4 x Chicken Rice, Choice of Either 1: Herbal Chicken, Bak Ku Teh OR Curry Chicken + $10 Return Voucher @ Sin Kee Famous Chicken Rice.

At most of the tables there are sauces on the table, so you can feel free to take as much as you want - especially the dark sauce!

All these added up to $20 which was quite reasonable!

I find the chicken okay not one that you will die for, it will be better if the chicken is boneless. The sight of blood veins was kind of turn off.

The vegetables on the other hand was nice, even a person that don't like vegetable will definitely like it. The sauce for the vegetables blend in pretty well and the vegetables itself is very fresh.

As for the rice, it was okay too nothing to complain about but not one that blow you away.

$4.50

While we were eating, I saw the board and noticed they served chicken curry noodle too and curry fish head! So we ordered the chicken curry noodle to try. Surprisingly their chicken curry noodle is one of the dish that is a must have if you come to this place!

The curry was thick, not to spicy and really fragrance. Definitely one of the best chicken curry noodle!

At first when we came in, there wasn't much crowd but when we were done with our dinner, crowd started to fill the expo size chicken rice restaurant! This restaurant is worth a visit, even if it worth a little travelling as there is definitely a dish that suit your taste bud!

Parking is quite convenient too!
