We have Meatball Napolitana pizza ($24++) as it is one of the recommended and kid friendly pizza. Jumbo meatballs cloaked in a delicious Neapolitan-style tomato sauce on rather thin and crispy pizza crust. It is also topped with rocket, basil, shaved Parmesan, onions, herbs and spices. The amount of shaved Parmesan is too little that I could barely taste it. And the onion slices are too big and taste too raw. The beef meatball tastes not bad but the sauce makes it too filling after sometimes.

1/4 Metre Long Sausage (Usual : $7++)
There is beef, spicy chicken and pork but we selected pork. There is no porky taste and goes quite well with the mustard sauce.

Harissa Prawns (Usual : $8++)
The prawn is quite juicy and sauce on top tastes a bit spicy and fruity with mango on top.

Seared Brie Cheese (Usual : $8++)
The seared cheese is topped with chopped pistachio nuts and grapefruit which balances the cheese taste and gives it a nutty and fruity taste.

Plain water is served which is refilled by the staff from time to time. Overall quite a tasty and filling meal and costs $46.43.

Wild Truffled Mushroom$26
This is their most popular pizza hence we decided to order this. The toppings included shitake and button mushrooms, wild rocket leaves, onions, some truffle shavings and truffle oil, and parmesan cheese. Perhaps I’m not a fan of truffle hence this pizza was pretty ordinary to me. Not something I’d order again.

Mushroom Risotto $20
My sister really loved this dish but not for me... While their mushroom risotto was nice and flavourful, they had added other ingredients such as peas, carrot, herbs and hazelnuts which did not spoil the taste but had overpowered the mushroom fragrance. As such this was the dealbreaker for me - a mushroom risotto that looked and tasted more like a mixed ingredients risotto

Old-Fashioned American Sliders $24
We chose the mushroom and bacon option for our sliders (min-burgers), which were served with normal French fries as well as sweet potato fries. The beef patty was extremely dry and tasteless and the mushroom & bacon were kinda dry and tasteless as well. French fries were so-so while the sweet potato fries were really sweet, I think they were even coated in sugar or something?

Thai Crispy Beef Salad $15
This was a chef’s recommendation but when it arrived at our table we were all disappointed as it was not what we had expected. Basically what was presented on the plate was a bunch of green salad leaves on one side, and some fried beef strips on the other side. Extremely mediocre, not something I’ll order again as well.

The pizza was considered pricy since there was NO MEAT at all! Then again, they threw in lotza mushroom and truffle. In fact, too much. *Shrugged*

The pizza can barely support the weight of the topping. It was paper thin that I almost thought I was just eating mushroom and truffle. I still preferred thin crust pizza with at least the crust still there??

The serving of the mushroom and truffle was really generous. It's probably good if the pizza is shared with more ppl. Since there was only the 2 of us, trying to finish half the pizza each, it became too overwhelming and a tad salty, especially when there was no crust to neutralise the taste. In the end, I had to waste food. =(

3 Side Dishes Combo ~ $15

We also ordered the combo side dish, which we can choose 3 out from the 9 items. You can also order the side dish on its own, priced at $6-$7 each. We decided on 2 of the Skinny Favourite (i.e Brie Cheese and Sweet Potato) and a prawn item to satisfy the carnivorous side of me. Hehe

The star was the mushroom risotto. I hadn’t harbour high hopes for this dish because it looked so normal but what did they teach you in school? Never judge a book by its cover. The risotto was simply delish. I am not a huge fans of peas and carrots but added together, the combination with other ingredients just gel together so well.

Regardless I would still be keen to go back and try the other skinny pizzas variations the restaurants have on its menu!

The Roasted Pumpkin with Macadamia Nuts Pizza, topped with sun-dried tomatoes, rockets and honey mustard and a bit of sugar is vegetarian but amazing. The thin crust as the name of the restaurant suggest is crispy and crunchy just like a biscuit. This makes the pizza a very light and its good for people who are on a low-carb diet! Another popular pizza there is the Squid Ink Pizza. Skinny Pizza also serves pastas, salads, sides, and rich mouthwatering desserts!

My main peeve is that the crunchy and light crust was too thin and broke very easily, and the toppings kept falling off. Hence, it was impossible for me to eat it in an elegant way.

The Ginger Butter Chicken ($20, below), crumbled mozarella, cashew nuts, rucola, onions, diced tomatoes and ginger butter chicken. When I took my first bite, I thought I was eating Malay/Indian chicken satay. The herbs and spices used were fragrant and the chicken was soft. The cashew nuts were an interesting topping and gave a crunchy texture. Overall, it was quite an oriental taste.

The Spaghetti Aglio Olio ($20, below) looks a bit different from the menu. Anyway it was quite an average dish and nothing to shout about. It was a bit too oily for me though.

We ordered a three-sides platter ($15, below), containing a 1/4 metre long sausage, sweet potato nibblets and truffle fries. The sweet potato nibblets were too much and we couldn't finish. As for the truffle fries, I am not really a bit fan of truffles and this one had an overpowering pungent truffle taste. Out of the three sides, I like the sausage most. My friends and I concurred that the three-sides platter were not really value-for-money and we should have ordered another pizza instead.

Tip 1: I think you can just walk out without paying because despite us calling for the bill three times, nobody gave us the bill. We basically waited for like 15 minutes and decided to walk out of the restaurant. No worries I am a law-abiding citizen and I paid at their cashier.

Tip 2: There is a current promotion for DBS/POSB cardholders. Simply spend more than $50 and get a 15% discount voucher on the next visit. The promotion lasts until 31 Dec 2014. DBS also has another promotion until 30 Sep 2013 where you get free truffle fries with every pizza ordered.

A great place for the pizza lovers. Skip the other non-pizza dishes. And hopefully the service can be faster next time when I visit with my 15% discount voucher.

The Mushroom Risotto was awesome. It tasted really good. The rice had a buttery taste and you would just want to eat more and more of it. The portion seems small but I actually shared it with another friend of mine. I really like their risotto. The pizza was so-so. I like that the crust was thin. However it was really difficult to eat and there were too much vegetables on it. Overall, the food was good. I won't mind eating here again.

Perhaps we weren't entirely accustomed to the concept of having a thin pizza crust, having grown up with the regular pan pizzas, but it sure felt like we were eating pizza toppings off a tortilla chip. As for the toppings, the mushrooms were delightful and cooked just perfectly to retain moisture yet avoid being mushy; not a fan of the bitter wild rocket; and the rest of the toppings were average.

Have heard good things about their Squid Ink Pizza and I just might be back to give Skinny Pizza another shot at impressing me.

Good service. Waiter explained to us professionally when we queried them on the dishes.

Ambience
Packed during peak hours. Cannot eat at ease. Dinning area quite open concept and you can see people queuing up and "eyeing" the seats.

Price
$10

Recommendation / Tips
(1) Great dinning place for gathering.

Even though the staff are very busy, they are always trying their best to serve all the customers having their meals in the restaurant, they are still very friendly and organized in bringing customer to their tables, take orders, serve dishes out to the correct tables and to clear the tables once the customer leave the restaurant. They even greet customer when they come or leave the restaurant which I felt is a good practice which all restaurant should do.

Anyway, we started to order our dishes and here are the ones we had for dinner:

Squid Ink Pizza @ $25

I felt that one should not consider eaten at skinny pizza restaurant if you have never order their famous squid ink pizza. This is the dish which I will confirmed order once I am there for a meal as it is very special and all the ingredients really mixed together so well that you simply loves it. (Not for those who are scare of eating squid ink) The taste itself is a bit sweet with mixture if different things on the squid ink pizza base.

Though from my view, this is not as special as Squid Ink Pizza, overall taste is still not bad with tomato, egg and etc. Good to try out if you wish to try other pizza from their menu.

1/4 Metre Long Sausage (Chicken) @ $6

As there are only 4 of us (3 girls and 1 guy), we do not wish to eat too full so we decided to eat 1/4 meter long chicken sausage instead of 1 meter long ($22) or the 1/2 meter long ($12) sausages. Their sausages are nicely done with some spices ingredients in it. It is being served in a pan with some greens veg and mustard sauce. (A bit salty but still nice to eat)

Kampong Glam – One of the must try drinks. Very refreshing to your throat.

A very interesting concept where they used some olden days metal cup for the drinks.

This drink is made up of Japanese Cucumber mixed with some mint leaves and lemon juice for enhancing the taste of this drink (Might have more ingredient which I not sure). Taste wise, you will feel very sour then a bit of bitterness and with an after taste of some nice sweet feeling. A very nice drinks which seems nice to try out if you are there.
