Glad to taste some improvement from our previous visit. The steak was more flavourful and succulent.

 Spicy Seafood Pasta with Grilled Scallops
Unfortunately, the same couldn’t be said for the pasta. The sauce was diluted and lacked the zest and sweetness we were expecting. The seafood was alright but somehow didn’t go quite well with the sauce.

Grilled Fish Sambal
One of Swensens’ best offerings so far. The sambal sauce was very tasty and authentic and coupled with the dory that was fresh and soft, this is one hot dish not to be missed!

 My buddy ordered the Stuffed US Turkey Roll ($19.90) which came along at the right timing as we were almost with finished our side. The turkey roll was nicely sliced into medallions and complimented with mashed potato and fresh garden vegetables of carrots and broccoli. The entire dish was nicely seasoned to our liking.

 For myself, I have ordered the Grilled Piri Piri Chicken ($16.90) which was amazing! From the first mouth, it was obvious that this Portugese-styled chicken was well-marinated for hours then grilled on a really suitable temperature because it was cooked through so nicely which resulted it to be so tender and juicy! It also comes with side salad and raisin rice which were really tasty as well! A definite must order from their Christmas menu!

 We were both very full but there's always room for desserts! Between the free drinks or sundaes, we opted for the free sundaes! So we got ourselves <b style="line-height: 1.6;">Hot Fudge Sundae (vanilla icecream with hot fudge & almonds) & <b style="line-height: 1.6;">Merri-Mint Sundae (mint icecream covered with hot fudge) and those ended well!

 The one thing I always love about Swensen's is that we'll always be given $5 voucher for every $35 spent. This can also be given to your friends or family if you have no time to visit within the valid period so that always makes this place better than many other casual dining restaurants!

 Overall, the service here was really efficient and environment was really nice for a casual date. The food at Swensen's never go wrong so I'm considering on returning soon to try other items from the Christmas menu!

Salted Gula Melaka Sundae ($9.90++)

Sadly, the same couldn't be said for the mains. The Sirloin Steak was not at all appetising nor satisfying. It tasted more like frozen beef and was dry and tough in texture. The sides consisted of some boiled vegetables and potatoes that were relatively healthier alternatives to fries and the likes.

We thought this was a pretty good deal and had a simple dinner celebration for dad’s birthday.

Sambal Grilled Dory ($15.50++)
A very light dish comprising of grilled dory, some boiled broccoli and carrots and mashed potato. The sambal was much needed to spice up this dish and it was quite blend. A pretty healthy choice for those calories conscious.

Wow,this is so nice.This is a must TRY.We can choose 8 scoops of icecream by ourselves.Highly recommended for the thin mint and the mocha almond flavour one.The mocha one really GREAT,the almond also make it taste nicer.That is very NICE..!The icecream is really smooth,and nice..!There are also some chocolate pour on the icecream..!And the nut also make it taste nicer.I really enjoy eat this with my friend.

Met up with my cousins for dinner and I ordered the Black pepper seafood pasta.I like my food spicy and it said in the menu that this dish was more spicy than the others so I ordered this It came with clams,crab stick,mushroom,etc. And YES,it WAS spicy!I loved it the moment I tried it! I went for the hazelnut ice cream which was quite nice, I would say one of the better flavours in Swensen. If only they had added some crushed hazelnuts with the ice cream, it would be better.Surprisingly for a holiday, the restaurant is quite empty, but that is probably because I went at 3pm which is after lunch hours

It's quite value for money though I have heard from some diners that their portion has reduced ever since for this lunch promotion.I have tried their Honey Cajun Chicken and also their Surf and Turf. Not bad but without the one for one promotion, think I will skip and go to Jack Place or Aston instead. Their ice-cream is ok but I will rather pay a little more for Ben & Jerry.
