My sis and I like to walk around Takashimaya Food Hall and pick out food we had like to eat instead of having a full meal at any restaurant or food court in Orchard. Anyway we got a box of Ham and Cheese takoyaki balls from Takopachi for $2+. The tako balls were already cooked but since they were left on the pan, it was still served relatively hot. The Takoyaki balls here are super delicious! The batter is quite dense and slightly chewy with a good flavour to it. The ingredients are pretty small but that's ok cause the batter tastes good so it makes up for it. The sauce that comes with the balls are savory and tasty and together with the mayonnaise and bonito flakes the dish is pretty yummy! Good for a on the go snack

Octopus balls! This is one of the outlets where I frequent to get my takopachi balls fix. The batter here is thick and fluffy and very flavour full. It is simple in terms of flavour but that's what I like about it, there is no flavours to compete with the Taste of the batter. Only thing that the octopus filling is very small in size so you are basically eating batter.

While this stall’s Japanese name translates to ‘Octopus balls’ in English, they come in other flavours as well! The traditional Octopus balls are filled with a nice thick piece of Octopus so it’s chewy but not tough while the prawn ones are really good as well. Both usually come sprinkled with a generous amount of bento flakes. But the most popular type has got to be the bacon and cheese! The melty cheese complements the bacon perfectly and makes every bite or mouthful a delight.

I love to eat Takoyaki very much! As I was hungry while shopping in Orchard, I decided to give the takoyaki there a try! It tastes awesome! I ordered octopus flavour and the octopus tastes fresh. I like the fish flakes very much so I always request for more fish flakes! The takoyakis were slightly burnt but still acceptable. I went during peak hours thus the queue was quite long.

For slightly more than $2, the tako yaki is very popular amongst people who want to find yummy japanese snacks. Served with 3-4 balls per serving, customers have a choice of seafood, octopus, ham and more. The tako yaki is made fresh on the spot and taste best when it is hot. I chose the sea food stuffed balls and it tasted soft. The flour is not too sweet and taste wel when matched with the sea food slices stuffed within. Went to shopping at takashimaya. Felt hungry and wanna ate something light. We saw the takopachi stall. Recently, I feel very obsessed to takoyaki. So, I decided to buy the takoyaki. I brought the flavor of octopus. The takoyaki tasted nice and the octopus tasted fresh too. The takoyaki always best served when the food was hot. The takopachi's sauce tasted nice too and I always love to ask for more bonito flake.

For $2.50, you get three freshly cooked tako balls with ingredients inside of your choice: prawn, squid or bacon. They are very generous in their cuttlefish shavings and the tako balls are big too. The tako balls were a little burnt, could see black marks but i guess that's part of the entire flavour. Although the tako balls were big, they mostly contained flour and there was only one small piece of squid in each ball. Overall, it was still very delicious!!

I am in love with tako pachi since my secondary school time, my favorite stall is the one at bugis stall, and I think it is no longer there anymore. Now the only one I can remember is the takashimaya. Went to takashimaya during lunch time, and decided to take away for B3, saw the tako pachi and had a crave. Queue up and bought the one with prawn, it is still the nice as before. Price didn’t change much, it was like $2 for 3 in the past, now only $2.50 for 3. It is considerable cheap. It is still

after walking through the myriad of shops at TAKA food basement, i decided to have the tapoyaki. it costs $2.50 for 3 pieces and we did not have to wait. we got the pre-made ones but it was still very hot. there was option for octopus, prawn or bacon and I opted for the octopus one. fish flakes and mayonnaise was added on top of their own "tapoyaki" brown sauce. Together it tasted great and the tapoyaki was just nice on the outside, but soft and creamy on the inside

i guess this is the one of the oldest and still surviving takopachi shop in singapore. always very fancinated by the way how the staff flipped over the tako balls, seem such a cool thing and they just look so pro at it. have been eating it for very long time but i felt that the standard somehow dropped a little over the years and the filling gotten a bit stingy too. nonetheless, is still my favourite takopachi shop =)
