12/12/12 is a memorable date. I and my colleagues decided to have our advanced Christmas Party on this day. Upon reaching ‘The HandBurger’ at Raffles City, we were greeted by a polite waiter who guided us to a table seat. We sat at the central of the shop. Headed down with the boyfriend after school to have lunch at Raffles City! Handburger is located in the basement of Raffles City and when we got there, we got seats really quick. I ordered the mini hand burger because the normal size one is just too big for me to finish. The burgers are surprisingly good. Was expecting worse as previously we tried them when they first opened and it wasn't good. The buns seemed to be baked fresh in store as you can see the chef rolling the dough and putting them in an oven. The meat is done just right and not heavy on fillers. The overall make up is great. Not just their different types of burgers are my favourite from this restaurant, I also love their soup as well. The creamy mushroom soup here is really tasty and thick in texture. Every mouthful of it you will be able to taste the wild mushroom flavour used in it and the milk used in it is also quite fragrant as well. it is great to have it on its own or to have it with their different types of main courses as well.

Upon my first visit, i decided to try the Original Handburger with mushroom soup as side. The burger consists of a nicely grilled beef patty with a melted cheese then further garnished with caramelised sweet onion, a slice of tomato and fresh tasting lettuce. I came with little expectation and the standard of this burger surpassed it. It is a joy in eating it. This is one of my favourite side dishes from The Handburger as the portion is very generous and it is also only served hot upon our order. The sotong meat in it is very chewy and tender, which goes really well with the thick layer of crispy bread crumbs on it. The creamy sauce used to dip the crispy sotong rings is also quite thick in texture and not too salty too. The price is reasonable since the portion is so generous and the presentation is nice too.

This is the second types of finger foods which I have tried from their outlet and was equally impressed with the quality of it. The sotong rings are quite big in portion and are very crispy and not too oily. The sotong meat in it is not too dry and is very chewy in texture. The combination is just right and great to dip in some cheese or mayonnise sauce. If this is not enough for you, you may consider order some of their signature burgers to go along with this yummy sotong rings as well.
