1) chicken cordonthe chicken was quite tough and the cheese was almost non existent. It should probably be renamed as chicken breastmeat? =p2) saffon risottoi like risotto for its rich and creamy texture but apparently the risotto here failed to reach the mark. It tasted a tad sour, which wasnt really pleasant. Oh well, at least the crab meat was fresh.Overall, the bill came up to $40ish, considered expensive for the food quality. =(

*Pris and I started with the Thai Crab Cake (SGD$12.00) served with mango salsa with baby cress. It looked good on presentation, and the taste did not disappoint. A little on the spicy side, the crab cakes were crispy on the golden exterior, and the inside was firmly tasty with the luscious flavor of crab.

For mains, *Pris had the Pan Seared Barramundi (SGD$26.00) served with risotto, asparagus and salsa verde. *Pris mentioned that while the fish was succulent, the salsa verde was a tad too sour for her liking.

I had The Queen's Favorite Fisherman's Pie (SGD$22.00) - a baked dish of white cream sauce , cheese, mashed potato , prawns, snapper and scallops and a side salad. The taste was light, as was the texture. There were three large prawns and a healthy amount of soft snapper, but I did not detect any scallops. It was rather tasty in a homely, wholesome manner.

Salmon was grilled until moderate, the texture was just nice without fishy scent. Cheesy and creamy, it went very well to the gravy. Broccoli was the significant dressing, the combination was fine. The price was $28 before GST and service charge, expensive but worthy. Both of us enjoyed the wonderful moment, I like the gorgeous décor and wholesome food.

I ordered the lamb shank. It had the Chef's Recommendation logo beside it so I had high expectations. Unfortunately, the lamb was undercooked and the meat looked a little too pale. The sauce wasn't that great either - it just lacked punch.

The mash potato on the other hand, was pretty good. Would've been better if they had added more butter - but still not bad.

Our total bill was $72+. That's extremely pricey for 2 main dishes and one drink (coke is like, $6). Overpriced but I may come back to give the fish & chips a try, since it's such an iconic English dish. But not anytime soon!

Anyway.. we only wanted bar grub so ordered the crispy chicken wings. While the coating was very crispy, chicken was thoroughly tasteless... really quite upset by the service.. will take me awhile to be convinced to go back.

This British-influenced pub surely has an unique name - queen and mangosteen, you might ponder what is the link between those two. This British-influenced pub surely has an unique name - queen and mangosteen, you might ponder what is the link between those two. There is a rumour that the mangosteen was reputedly Queen Victoria's favourite fruit, and apparently she allegedly offered a reward to anyone who can bring this purple fruit to her. Hence, the clever name, but do not be mistaken for they do not sell any mangosteens (or queens) here.

Located within Vivocity with a spectacular paronomic view of the scenic waterfront and Sentosa, Queen & Mangosteen has one of the best ambience among the lesser atas restaurants. Upon entering, you'll be greeted by huge chalkboards with today's specials and promotions, plush couches, high tables and bench seatings which creates the contemporary British pub setting. It is half air-conditioned and half al-fresco, completed with an ornate island bar that overlooks the beautiful waterfront.

Without futhur ado, we ordered their signature Fresh Mesclun Salad (S$12.00), paired with roasted Roma tomatoes, pear and walnuts, Stilton Blue Cheese and drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette. I thought that this refreshing appetizer was texture-rich, the sweet crunch of pear and walnuts, the bright crisp of the greens, the sour chewiness from the tomato and cheese, and not to mention that the elements complemented each other as a whole.

Next up, I had Sirloin Steak (S$32.00) completed with thick cut chips, Yorkshire pudding, garden vegetables and served with mushroom pepper sauce. Like always, I had my steak's doneness at medium. It was firm and chewy, but I was disappointed as the meat was drier than expected. (I had to eat with lots of mushroom sauce.) The pudding was slightly crispy with a tad of grease on the exterior and soft inside, it tasted so good.

Peiyi had one of their most acclaimed pub grub, Fish & Chips (S$16.00) served with homemade curry tartare sauce. The fish fillets used were fresh and coated in a light crispy batter, however their tartare sauce was of mediocre standard only. The potato chips were thicker than the usual and has a nice crunch to it.

Queen & Mangosteen also serve quite an extensive menu of alcoholic beverages here, one might want to order some pub grubs to go along with your drink. Perfect for drink buddies.

Overall, the food standard is above average, thumbs-down for value wise, but it definitely scores big on it's picturesque ambience.

First the good; great view of the harbourfront and Sentosa especially if sitting al fresco and secondly, good beer! In my opinion, that's all I'll go back for next visit - if ever. The mains I've tried so far, burgers, cold seafood platter and roast beef with (ultra mini yorkshire pudding) were mediocre at best and they don't come at reasonable prices. In fact very grossly OVER-priced. One can go to any other sea-fronting restaurant at Vivocity and get a good meal for half the price especially f

I decided to meet my friends for a beer session and we visited this restaurant at vivocity. We picked an outdoor table so that we can have a sea-viewing experience. We ordered the salmon salad with wild rocket salad (we are salmon-lovers!) and wheat bier to pair it with the salmon. The taste of the salad was very unique due to the fact that they used mirin dressing and the salmon was also fresh and yummy! The beer we had was very refreshing and there was tangy and citrus twist to my taste bud.

And this is the goat cheese tart. It’s deceptively small, heaped with a bunch of fresh salad veg, but it’s stuffed with good things. Goat cheese, tomatoes, portobello mushrooms, and sprinkled in honey and dressing. And yes, it costs a whopping $20 (around there). And it’s just a starter.

Overall,it's a great place to chill out. You can get great view of sentosa, especially in the outdoor seating area

This is first visit to this restaurant. Ordered a Belgium Beer at sgd12 which is "So so" only. Their 'hot wings' chicken wings is quite spicy though, so the beer will help to cool down! Next come the Potato chips with chili crab sauce. The highlight is the sauce of course! However, the tandoori chicken just doesn't go well in this type of restaurant...Think we can still find the best tandoori chicken at indian specialist food stall afterall...
