Currently the soup chain is having a Japan Souper Inspirations promotion with 3 new soups. Although there is hardly any crowd, the staffs around seem to be too busy to serve me. The staff does not give me the promotional lucky draw card that comes with the promotional soup. She also does not put condiments on the soups.

The set comes with a ice tea and a bun. The ice tea is quite bland in taste.

Barramundi Miso Stew
Kuhlbarra barramundi fish, napa cabbage, leeks, carrots, zucchini, shitake mushrooms, potatoes, onions, shiro miso, handmade fish stock, mirin, sake, ginger, garlic and onions
I am upset that it does not comes with the condiments such as tofu cubes, shichimi togarashi, shredded seaweed, chopped spring onions as has been showed on the menu. The soup itself is very flavourful with chunky soft vegetables in it.

Mizutaki x Keihan Chicken Stew
Marinated chicken, white radish, carrots, zucchini, shitake mushroom, black fungus, barley, sake, mirin, lemons, soy sauce, onions, garlic and onions.
I also disappoint that the condiments such as toasted white sesame seeds, seaweed and shredded pickled red ginger is not served with the soup. The soup is also very flavourful.

Overall the food is not bad, but the service has much to be improved with. The place is so empty that I could see people bringing in outside food to eat without buy any inhouse food, yet the staffs do not do a thing. So upsetting.

Had one of the Christmas items - The Prawn Bitsque (I know it's supposed to be spelled Bisque but that's the way Soup Spoon spelled it on the menu). It's basically like an intensely flavored prawn noodle soup. The taste of prawn is very strong (I think they used the prawn shells to achieve this) and it has bits of prawns inside it but it is rather watery instead of the thicker consistency of their other soups. I didn't feel very full after eating this so skip this if you're very hungry. A little

There's nothing chunky inside to help give the dish more 'heft' so I probably wouldn't order this again.

Was craving for something to warm my stomach on a cold rainy day, 1st time that came into my mind was a bowl of warm hearty soup. Since i am working in orchard, decided to make my way down to Soup spoon located at the basement of ION Beef Goulash - My all time favourite. A bowl of warm thick soup which was filled with diced potatoes, carrots, celery and capsicum. Caesar chicken mushroom wrap - Quite bland, but not too bad. It was filled with some diced chicken and vegetables.

If you're looking for a complete meal, you can upgrade your meal to set by adding a half wrap or half salad plus a snack or drink! You can also share the set with a friend if you don't want such a heavy meal.

The day I went to Soup Spoon for lunch, I had a big dinner to attend. And so, I opted for something light just to keep me full until 5pm (my dinner was 630pm). I ordered my usual minestrone soup. I like this because it's a healthier option with all the veggies as ingredients. The quality is pretty consistent, I would say. It also comes with bread!

I like my western soup to be filled with chunks of goodies, and soup spoon definitely does not fail to do that. My large bowl of soup was filled with chicken chunks and mushroom, that makes me full after finishing it. As for the wrap i chose masala chicken, was warned by the store manager that it will be spicy - but to me it was still acceptable.

As there are only a limited seats available, you might need to wait for an available seat during lunch crowd/dinner crowd.

Anyway, I ordered just minestrone soup and not the meal. My order came in less than 15 minutes which was a plus. Despite the crowd, they still manage not to starve their customers by waiting for the food to be served.

The food was just blah. It wasn't good and it wasn't bad either. The soup for me could've used more flavour. I felt like when they cooked it, they added more water. I asked the waiter for pepper but they didn't have enough. So, what happened was that we had to wait for someone to be finished with their pepper shaker before he gave it to us. Then when we were done with it, the waiter gave it to another table! haha. The ingredients were generous though so I felt full afterwards.

The Tokyo Chicken Soup is the only 'clear' soup I could find on their menu. The other choices looked too creamy for me since I was only looking to have a light lunch. The soup was very sweet and had a lot of healthy ingredients in it - radish, carrots, lotus root and other vegetables. The chicken meat was also very soft and was probably boiled for a long time to achieve that tenderness. Overall, I had an enjoyable lunch at The Soup Spoon and will definitely come back here to try their other soups!

I was shopping for gifts when i decided well hey.. this place looks nice.. i looked at the soup and the had the calories there to have a calorie watch!

Nice job! Well then i had the Simon and Garfunkel soup! Now this was epic... i wish it was hotter though as i mentioned before in my earlier reviews... that i liike the super duper hot soup feeling!

I paid around 7 to 9 bucks for this? So i think it is quite worth it! The soup is dammmmmmmmmmmmmn good! It has mushrooms.... carrots.. meat and the texture was thick but not a turn off!!!

Will come back for more!

I can't even identify the veg until I saw the description of the dish online. Romaine Lettuce? I would have thought it is spinach. It is kind of hard to cut the veg inside the wrap.

It is a rich, creamy soup. It is not soupy though. It is filled with marinated chunks of chicken and mushrooms. My friend tasted potatoes while i found a chunks of carrots in the soup. A little too dry for soup as it will serve better as a dish to accompany rice instead. Not bad tasting, quite filling. Just not really for a soupy-soup lover, if you know what i mean.

+ Roasted Pumpkin with Caramelized Apple & Toasted Almonds

Pumpkin soup that does not had a strong pumpkin taste, but it is definitely as rich as the Ragout. I did not taste any apple in the soup. My friend did not topped the soup with almonds hence i couldn't give comments on whether the ingredients works together.

The service was fast and nice, I have to give it that.

I think it's value for money. Despite the fact that it isn't really soup they're giving you, but stew, it's pretty filling. Along with the set meal which comes with another wrap or a sandwich. You'll definitely be full.
