i guess after all these years my favourite dish at yoshinoya is still their beef bowl although both the portion and standard has dropped over the years. the thing that always puzzle me is how can they serve such horrible vegetables. they just taste so blend and stale which I always question what am i eating. the chicken and salmon bowls are not bad too but the portion is even lesser than the beef bowl so shall stick to beef as my only choice

My favorite bowl at Yoshinoya after all these years is still the beef bowl after all. Quite frankly, I'm not a huge fan of Yoshinoya as it contains barely ingredients but loaded with a mountain load of carbs- Japanese white rice. Still, many people are still flocking here and enjoying the Jap food, maybe cos they are reasonably priced and they also often have special promotions for students.I ordered the beef bowl and added the soft-boiled egg, I am also a lover for spice hence I added (spammed)

I ordered the beef bowl and added the soft-boiled egg, I am also a lover for spice hence I added (spammed) a whole lot of chili flakes, it also makes the food tastier overall too. The miso soup was warm and not too diluted.

Don't feel really hungry but feel like eating with your friends/ family ? You can simply ordered Yoshinoya, Kids Meal which include a drink (Milo/ blueberry).I ordered teriyaki chicken set. On the plate, there was 3 fried smiley potato, few pieces of teriyaki chicken, rice and vegetable. The overall taste was quite good and I finished it (: Their kids meal has no limit to age, therefore anyone can just order it Do try it if you are not really feeling that hungry so that you won't waste your mo

Do try it if you are not really feeling that hungry so that you won't waste your money on a bowl of unfinished food

Ordered the Student Deal, and asked the drink to be changed to Milo. As alwys, i ordered a teriyaki chicken rice bowl with it. Although i knw Yoshinoya has other food other than teriyaki chicken rice bowl, i feel very restricted to order other stuffs. Cant eat beef bcos of religious reasons and salmon was a kind of fish, which i have a phobia of bones (though i knw salmon rarely have bones, haha). So i dun really have a choice do i, though i dun really mind as I love their teriyaki chicken.

The Milo was just nice, not too bland, with the right amount of chocolaty taste. The vegetables given in the rice bowl was also quite a big serving, at least bigger abit by the usual amount i usually get. The sauce was also quite alot, which i like as it makes my rice have taste, plus it goes well with the chicken. Best of all, the chicken doesn't have any bones!

Both of us ordered the student's deal, since its cheaper too compared to the normal pricing plus it's the same. My fren ordered the Salmon Bowl, while i ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl (which is wat i alwys order whenever i dine at Yoshinoya). A soft drink came with the rice & both of us chose Green Tea, which require additional top-up of cash.

The Salmon bowl came with mayo squeezed on top of the Salmon, which was coated with breadcrumbs & deep fried till crisp. My teriyaki chicken had a crispy skin, & the rice was drenched with teriyaki sauce, it was simply heavenly!
The GREAT thing i liked abt their rice bowl is that it alwys comes with a side of veggies (which makes it a healthier choice)!

If ur a student, do make use of their student's special since u get the same thing at a lower price! (That's the gd thing of studying

My usual orders at Yoshinoya were either the beef/salmon bowl. This time round, I wanted something more "substantial", hence opted for the Beef and Tempura Ebi Value Combo meal. On first look, the combo meal looked like a kid's meal to me. The plate containing the main dish looked like crockery meant for children. I could easily imagine discovering pictures of little ducklings at the bottom of the plate when I finish off the rice. Nonetheless, the serving size was sufficient for adult consumption, even though it didn't look quite like it.

I always loved the tender beef slices at Yoshinoya. My only grouch is the serving is too little!!! 2 or 3 mouthfuls and they're all gone!!!
I really want to chomp big mouthfuls of these beef slices!!!

The Tempura Ebi is fine. Oh well, this has never gone wrong for me.

I also ordered a Mango Peach drink. This was recommended to me by the counter staff. and was truly refreshing. But it tasted more like a sweet drink than a healthy drink.

I would like to mention that the counter staff here are very pleasant and polite. During my visit, there was another man beside me ordering "anything except beef; I dunno how to order". The staff were very patient with him and assisted him in selecting his order. So, good service at this eatery!

This eatery has moved from B1 to Lvl 1. So, do take note of this if you intend to eat here!

Total Cost: Beef and Tempura Ebi Value Combo Meal - $9.60
Mango Peach Drink - $3

Just wanted something simple, fast and not so expensive dinner before movie with my friend. So we decided to have 'Japanese cusine' at Yoshinoya. I have choosen beef slices and prawn tempura set meal. The beef and the prawn tempuras were quite nicely cooked, and i like the way the vegetables is cooked, quite raw and bland. I actually like vegetables cooked that way, like the raw taste. Felt that its healtier. Overall, its quite a simple and normal meal, nothing much to expect actually for that
