Since a few years back, snow ice has started to trend especially at hong kong cafe but this is definitely the best I've ever tried. The passion fruit mango snow ice came with cubes of fresh mangoes, syrup jelly (which actually burst in your mouth upon biting) and nata de coco! And what's so good about this is that the snow ice is really flavoursome and doesn't contain any artifici...

Left: Aburi Salmon Roll $19.80 Right: Rainbow Roll $19.80 Kaz Jap Sushi has always been my favourite. Although they are a bit pricey, but the quality of their food is really commendable. Their sashimi rolls are really premium topped with fresh ingredients. They do takeaways too! Celine
This set costs 13.90 and there's omelette with rice and chicken, gyoza and soup. The sauce that's drizzled on top of the omelette rice tasted like abalone sauce and the rice was moist within too while the egg tasted just nice. The gyoza was juicy within and the pork fillings were just right, not under nor over loaded. It did not taste salty too and the skin was not too thick. At such a p...

Needed a coffee after our meal, we walked into Jamaica Blue. This is the first time I am trying their coffee and I definitely want to visit again to try the other flavours. I ordered a Chai Latte. It was presented very nicely with a heart shape tea art. The coffee felt light and creamy. Chai latte was slightly spiced. The cup was very easy to drink and really very enjoyable. Thu...
Hakka Yong Tau Fu for lunch. The chilli was stuffed with fish meat and it was fresh and succulent. The vegetable was plentiful as well, and the other stuff goes very well with white plain rice. The fishball taste a little weird (not the usual type that i like), but it's acceptable. The friend beancurd skin is awesome. I like the sauce as well, which is neither too salty not too bla...

I was shopping at the Wisma Atria recently & happened to pass by Subway Niche & saw the tempting eclairs on display so decided to buy them. They cost just 3 for 1.6 $. I picked up 3 & started eating them. They were so chocolaty, creamy, smooth & soft. I had no idea, we can get such good eclairs in Singapore for so cheap. They just melted in the mouth. I guiltily finished all 3 &...

the nasi padang here is quite good with the large variety. however as it is precooked, the food is cold. only the rice is hot. did not find the rice to be good quality. it is definitely not hom mali or thai rice! the chilli kang kong is great! just the right level of spiciness - cooked traditional way. the chicken curry is very good too! the meat is soft and the curry was perfect. about $...

The Dim Sum here is really nice and afforable and freshly steamed on the spot upon order therefore we have to wait about 10 mintues but the wait is worth it as the har kows are nicely steam and not soggy like those oversteamed. Tthe har kow which comes in a bamboo container and 3 pieces at $2.40.The har kow skin is wrapped just nice, not too thick or thin and inside is a big prawn and v...

I was very fortunate to be invited to dinner at My Little Spanish Place by OpenRice. It was an exquisite, educational experience for me. This is the only place I know of in Singapore for genuine, fine Spanish cuisine. Our first dish was jamón with cheese and olives. We had finely cut slivers of two kinds of jamón: jamón ibérico (from the special breed of a black, ibérico...
Every time I'm at Marche, I would definitely order their Swiss Rosti, which is consistently good. The grated potatoes are slightly firm and not mushy, and the top layer is always nice and crisp. With a sprinkling of salt , this dish is simple but it never fails We also got the Parma Ham Pizza which was quite good too, consisting of parma ham, sliced tomatoes, arugula & c...
I always liked to order curry beef rice with cheese in pepper lunch! the cheese melts immediately when you mix the rice with the beef and cheese. Rice is a little sticky just like japanese rice so it is really chewy! Top with a little honey brown sauce and mix them well then the taste is really good! The curry is not spicy at all so you don't have to worry about the spiciness! Servi...
