Fried Rice!
We came here to send of a friend who was near and dear to us. Hence, I decided to treat her to a nice lunch along with a couple of my uni mates. I must say the food options here are vast. The Korean bbq looked really cool too but we sticked to normal dishes for sharing.
The first picture illustrates our vegetarian fried rice which was fit for sharing among 2-3 people. It was made vegetarian especially for us! The best part? taste was not compromised at all! Amongst vegetables like carrots, cabbage, mushrooms and kai lan, there was also fried nuts that were used to garnish the dish. The fried rice in everyone's opinion was excellent! The portion was worth every penny and every grain of rice was finished at the end of the meal! haha 10/10! I loved it!
We also had fried kai lan with mushrooms which tasted really good. Though the vegetables were a little oily, they tasted fresh and the stalks were crispy! Slices of mushrooms were also added to give the dish more bulk!
I was really impressed by the standard of food here even with all the amendments they had to make to accommodate us. I liked the seating and the layout of the restaurant which was informal. Some staff were unable to speak English but with the help of a Chinese speaking friend, it worked out
they were also nice enough to tell us which dishes were not vegetarian (even for vegetable only dishes) and took the initiative to rise to the challenge.
