The food was very pretty (presentation-wise) and above average for chinese restaurant standards, but that price tag really makes the meal not worth it.

Beijing Roasted Duck
The duck's skin is cripsy and fragrant, and blends in well with the dark sauce, onions, and sugar. Bravo!

Braised TouFu with Crabmeat
The TouFu is crispy on the outside but soft and smooth inside. With the sweet-salty gravy, it makes the dish even more appealing.

Deep-fried Durian Ice-cream with mango puree
This is one of the rare desserts I've seen so far. Fried Durian Ice-cream! It's quite crispy, and tastes extremely good when eaten together with the mango puree.

Steamed Mashed Taro with Almond Cream in Young Coconut
A mixture of yam paste and almond cream. Taste good. But the almond cream is too thick such that it covered the fragrance of the yam.

Chilled Mango Puree with Sago and Pomelo topped with Coconut Ice-cream
A normal mango puree with Sago and Pomelo desert, but the added coconut ice-cream definitely enhances its taste!

AMBIENCE
The ambience is awesome. Our seat was just next to the window seat where we can catch a glimpse of the Marina Bay. It's an ideal dining place during National Day or New Year's Day where one can see the fireworks! Their internal furnishings is also quite impressive. Soft and comfortable seat.

SERVICE
Their service is also quite good. They will recommend you their signature dishes according to your budget. Fast and efficient in clearing dishes away.

i have given a fair rating for customer service mainly because we are being placed at a table that has shakey table legs (something is wrong with the table). When we provided our feedback, the waitress just simply brush our feedback aside and we got very angry so we demand a change of table.

we did not ordered their set menu for the day and instead we try their ala cart menu.

unlike other restaurant who will skin the duck and then cook the meat in a seperate dish, Paradise Pavilion skin the duck and debone the duck for u. they do not cook the duck meat in a seperate dish.
this , u can enjoy the apple wood roasted taste of the duck! and u need to wrap your own peking duck wraps lol. i prefer it this way cos i can choose how much sauce to put ( some restaurant 's sauce is too sweet and too much).
their peking duck is really nice. i love the skin although first look, i thought it "couldnt make it" as it doesnt look very crispy. but i change my mind after i put one slice of the skin into my mouth! omg! it is super crispy lo!

their specialty tofu. not bad. something new. the toufu is really soft

they prepare the fish that makes the fish very soft ( like not fresh?) but of cos m sure that they use the freshest fish la.

This restaurant has really nice layout and the environment is really cooling too. The restaurant manager is very polite and advise us on which dishes here are their popular items. We have ordered their brocolli with scallops to go along with the fragrant plain rice. The brocolli is very crunchy and fresh, especially enjoy the big and chewy scallops. The egg white sauce is soft and light. Will come back again to order this dish in future.

My cousin decided to hold his twenty-one birthday celebration in this posh chinese restaurant here since he is always fancy and craving for Chinese fine crusines. The chinese sausage has really enhance this dish and the dark fried rice is so good that you would not mind to have a second or even third servings.

Then we ordered the usual dimsums, all taste well but I have to say that I haven't eaten a liu sha bao that I enjoyed more than the one I had at Crystal Jade.

The dessert was yam paste in a coconut bowl which was interesting, the taste was a little different from the usual yam paste

Have my family gathering at this restaurant on this afternoon since today is everyone's birthday, which chinese known as 'ren Ri'. The must eat today is definitely the Yu Shen. The yu shen here is very fresh and the portion is also quite generous. Love those crunchy golden crust that are really appetitizing and not oily as well. The different types of preserved items also are equally delicious and not too sweet.

Har Gao. Every dim sum restaurant should do this well, and I expected no less from Paradise Pavilion. They used fresh prawns which are full of flavour and a slight crunch to it. The skin was of the right thickness, and did not annoyingly stick to the paper at the bottom.

Siew Mai. Har Gao's best friend. This version has mushrooms in it that provided more texture. Caviar was used in place of the traditional salt egg yolk as the garnish on top. The same salty kick was there with a more "sea flavour" that went will with the prawns. It would have been perfect if they were placed properly in the steamer so that they do not stick to each other.

Pork ribs in bean sauce. I love my pork ribs with the bones intact because I simply love to chew on that thin film of skin/flesh on the rib bone. There was no bone here, and I though the meat better impress me. And it did. Well seasoned meat that is very tender went well with my palate.

Char Siew Bao. I always feel that Char Siew Bao is a staple of any good chinese dim sum restaurant. The bao part here does not stick to the teeth. It was fluffy and helps balance the savoury char siew meat inside.

Liu Sha Bao. Nowadays, dim sum restaurants are judge by this particular bun, and here is the money shot of it to show how it can flow. This is easily one the best I ever had. The saltiness and sweetness of the salted egg custard inside was very balanced, and the "flowy-ness" was right.

I have no idea what this is called. The waitress recommended it, and I quite clearly remember that she said "Chicken Pie with Black truffle". This was AWESOME. I never expect to find truffles inside a dim sum, much less inside a chicken pie. The pastry was very well layered, and goes well with the fillings. It gave me lots of feelings.

For only $98++, they are offering a six-course set menu which consist of dishes with, of course, hairy crabs. If you add $60, they will also pair these dishes with wine. But anyway, I'm not much of a wine drinker so I had the first option.

The items on their menu were:
1. Steamed Xiao Long Bao with Hairy Crab Roe
2. Braised Shark’s Fin Soup with Hairy Crab Roe
3. Sautéed Prawns with “Dragon Well” Tea Leaves
4. Steamed Shanghai Hairy Crab
5. Japanese Vermicelli Soup topped with Hairy Crab Crab Roe
6. Lime Lemonade with Lemongrass Jelly and Sour Plum

For me, the highlight was definitely the steamed shanghai crabs. You have the option to crack open the shell yourself or have their waiter do it for you. I decided to do it myself, but since this was my first time, the waitress did a demo for me. It seemed simple, until it was my turn. But the waiting time was worth it... meat inside was tender and soft. Once you pop, you can't really stop!

I am very impressed by the interior design of Paradise Pavilion the moment the lift door opened at the 2nd floor of Marina Bay Link Mall! It is so posh and dreamy and they only have private rooms over there hence if your groups is bigger like 15 to 20 people, they can actually open the dividers for you and transform 2 private rooms into 1 big one.

Customer service, no 1(no joke). And each private rooms even had a big & pretty cupboards filled with lots of big drawers for the guest to put their bags/handbag so that they can enjoy the food through out meals without misplacing their bags messily. *Thumbs Up for this*

Among all the food serve that night, my top 3 most recommended dish will be :
No. 1 Peking Duck (Must Try!)
(Every ingredients they use like the sauce, duck, pancake .. etc are flown in directly from Beijing/Shanghai as claim & explain by the waitress while the chef prepare for us.)

No. 2 Appetizer (Scallop - Wasabi Prawn - goose liver)
The Wasabi Prawn is the most unforgettable dish for me although I had ate it before at other restaurant, Paradise Pavilion one no fight!

No. 3 Mango Pomelo Dessert
A must try! Very different from what serve at other restaurant! I almost order another one for this but for the sake of my bloating stomach I didn't

Rest of the dish is nice too but the above 3 are my top most recommend must try!
