This Marche Bakery certainly has attracted my attention over their wide spread of golden brown bread and pastries over at their display counter. Restaurant looks really cosy and comfortable. Service was alright but nothing warm nor super friendly. Have bought their cheese stick at $1 per piece which is consider quite alright. The texture was really thick and abit hard as well. Cheese flavour was quite strong but alittle bit too salty. The portion was alright but could have taste it better

Last month, my friends and I headed to Marche at 313@Somerset for dinner. I have tried their bakery products before but have never realised that they harboured a restaurant downstairs (call me a caveman but I was seriously caught unaware). Regardless Marche is a chain of restaurants serving European, mainly Swiss, cuisine.When we entered the restaurant at around 7.15-7.30pm, we didn’t had to wait long. European restaurant with a market place concept, the vibrant atmosphere of Marche as if I was in countryside with a lot of food stalls selling fresh food. Get Marche Card, it was like a Credit Card, eat first pay later and eat how much then pay how much.It looked appealing enough, it was the dish I will order every time I came. It's friends gatherings again! Marche is really a decent venue to chill, have some good food & catch up with people you really care about. Everytime I passes by the top level entrance, I'm always kind of tempted to visit its basement because this place isn't your typical Singapore dining place. Passing the Marché at 313 Somerset, I am tempted by the delicious display of pastries. The Swiss Wahe looks so good that I bought 2 slices. It costs $4.90 a slice. The dark purple colored one is made of plum topping, while the other is made of pear topping. The pear is quite chunky and juicy in pieces. The pie filling is not too sweet. The base is quite soft. Overall the pie is very nice as it is not too sweet and soft.

We were shopping around Orchard and decided to drop by Marche for their hi-tea special. Swiss Rosti with Coarse Pork Sausage ($12.10++)Their Rosti seemed to have dropped in standard from what I had remembered it to be. The potato was a little soggy (perhaps due to too much oil added?) and not as crispy and fragrant. This time we choose to have dinner at town area, Marché in Somerset 313 ~ My friends told me, this is a must to try their Rösti made from fresh potatoes ! The Rosti served with the chicken sausage and with their sour cream. Oh my god, it's really nice. Compared the chicken sausage and the pork sausage, i prefer chicken sausage more because the pork sausage smell I cannot take it

I usually avoid going to marche on a weekend, as there is always a long queue. Whenever I visit Marche, I will never fail to order their signature dish, which is the rosti. It has a nice crispy layer but yet it is soft inside, remember to have it together with sour cream as it give the dish a boost. I added a chicken sausage and it taste good with the rosti, as it is tender and juicy. Overall, I strongly recommend everyone to try the rosti.

Just had my facial across 313 and wanted to have my dinner here. We went to Marche and ordered Oven Roasted chicken, Glossy brown chicken was well marinated, meat was juicy and tender; I like their savory brown sauce as it give the chicken an extra boost in flavor. Rosti with sausage, crispy on the outside, fluffy and starchy on the inside shredded potato topped with sourish sour cream and fragrant spring onions. Salty and crunchy sausage paired off perfectly with the mellow tasting rosti.

Passing by the bakery, decide to get some breads.Mushroom and Rosti Focaccia ($5.90)This is very delicious. The topping is so thick that I do not feel the bread, only the shredded potato with the mushrooms and bacon.Bacon and Rosti Bread Roll ($5.90)It is a very interesting as there is a ring of shredded potato in each slice. The tasty bacon give the plain bread an extra punch.Ham and Cheese Bread Roll ($5.90)The cheese is too thin here that it tastes quite plain.

I really love the rosti at Marche. However, I find it too oily but I am willing to take in all that oiliness because their rosti taste so yummy. It goes well with a little bit of sour cream at the side. I find the smoked salmon too salty though. However, it complemented well with the lightly-flavoured rosti. They also have a country-like ambience which is very nice.

I visited Marche with some friends for dinner. At the pizza counter there were also these buns which were topped with cheese and other toppings. I had the mushroom cheese one and requested that it be heated up. Hot and fluffy the bun was very satisfying. However do feel it was expensive fr the size costing about three dollars for a mostly plain bun with only a little bit of toppings.

Marche has an outlet at Somerset313 and it's always packed! The concept is really interesting where everyone gets to purchase all their food with a credit card. I had Calamari Rings which was really good. It was so crispy on the outside with a great light batter. The calamari pieces were fresh and succulent and were tender and not overcooked. This is a must order food whenever I visit Marche for some Swiss food. I like their savory crepes here as the filling given is generous and also it taste great too. Had the Mushroom and Cheese Crepes which comes with a serving of mushroom and melted cheese, together with some salad for the crunchiness and healthy nutrients. The crepes are done perfectly, a little bit charred on the outside for the crispy texture and the melting cheese wrapped inside the crepes tasted good. Resisted to get anothe

The bakery section of Marche sells really nice breads and buns. I got a garlic bread to pair with my mushroom soup and it was pretty good. There was a generous portion of garlic and butter slathered over the bread and it was really crisp and delicious. Paired with the mushroom and dipped in the hot soup it was even nicer to eat after absorbing the hot soup. Now expensive too at under two dollars.
