I have read the review in Lianhe Zaobao and know the cartilage soup is the signature dish of Old Hong Kong Kitchen. Finally I found a time to try the cartilage soup steamboat today. It is really a quality food. Price is also very very low, compared with the price. I did try the one selling in Hua Ting Chinese Restaurant. We were here for Lo Hei lunch on a weekday. It was packed, good thing we made reservations for our group of five.First dish we had Lo Hei. This was average.Next we ordered dim sum to share.Bo Luo BBQ Pork Buns. Average.Salted Custard Buns. Average.Prawn Dumplings. Tasty.BBQ Pork Pastries. These were nice.Braised Chicken Feet. I guess it's an auspicious dish, so many people would order the suckling pig on a gathering. This one was huge, and well done, the skin crispy thin although very fatty, with a thick layer of fats beneath. I think the suckling pig from old hong kong is comparable to that of ah yat at turfcity. We also had the roast chicken, which was quite nicely roasted and went well with the sauce they provided.

This is the place where my elder sister friend recommended to try it out. So we went down to the Ang Mo Kio Branch of Mellben Seafood. The waiting time is 1 hour - 1hour 30 mins. The restaurant is tucked away at the back alley behind Sakae Sushi on the 2nd floor of Novena Square 2. It has an open concept kitchen where you can see the chefs firing the wok cooking your lunch/dinner. Price was a bit expensive but the food was really good. They had quite a lot to choose from We ordered siew mai,char siew chee cheong fun, pan fried chee cheong fun, steamed carrot cake...Potion here are absolutely massive & as a result we were struggling to finish everything.it’s definitely value for money, because prices are quite reasonable and you get really big potion, but the food itself isn’t very refined.so i won't come here again

Had a wonderful dim sum brunch with my in-law. I would definitely recommend this place for dim sum but not their ala-carte dishes though.I usually don't eat the appetizer, but this is quite good i must say.BBQ pork puff pastry - pastry skin is crispy and BBQ pork filling is not too fat and tasty.Pan fried shrimp roll wrapped with beancurd skin- this is my all time favourite! I simply love the crispy beancurd skin. Shrimps are very fresh and juicy too. Just that it's quite oily...so i must drink

Pretty nice place to hang out at. Food is pretty ok, but of course it is not the best. I cannot resist ordering the Pig Trotters’ Vinegar. Not sour enough, but other than that, it is pretty delicious. The trotters are tender, especially the skin – heavenly! =)
