A french sounding place with very appealing visuals, it's no wonder that Au Chocolat is pretty packed soon after its opening. I was quite surprised to actually find that this is a Singapore restaurant and I must say the publicity and branding efforts have been done really well! Every details here is so pretty; even the coasters! Staffs were friendly & service is prompt! We started out meal with Truffle Fries ($15) served with mayonnaise & BBQ sauce. Food and service not bad. We ordered two appetizer to share, truffle fries and mushrooms bites, both were yummy. My roast half chicken was not too bad. Desserts are a tad sweet though...my Rose and Lychee macaron was too sweet! Au Chocolat is a nice place with pretty decorations and nice pictures hanging on their walls. Perfect for ladies night out.For 3 ladies, we spend almost $200 on our orders. Very expensive but worth the try. So much choices available on the cake counter, what to choose. But I still must make a choice to use my $5 voucher which is expiring on this day.My choice of sliced cake is packed into a cute little box. This is one of my favourite main course from this restaurant. The duck meat is always so tender and not too dry. The portion is quite generous and really appreciate the nice presentation of this dish which looks really delicious. The mashed potato is also very smooth and soft in texture. The peppery gravy goes really well with the main and side dishes. The service staffs are friendly and the restaurant is cosy and comfortable.

Ultimate Benedict - hot fluffy pancakes topped with sautéed spinach, tomatoes, crispy bacon, roasted ribeye steak, roasted chicken & two poached eggs with our very own red wine & dark chocolate infused hollandaise sauce. Sounds good! Yes indeed.... I was a very happy girl with like everything all in one served in a chocolicious way!Portion wise is quite a lot for ladies. Was already getting very hungry while waiting for my food to come and suddenly i smell something nice!! Turned around and i saw the staff serving Truffle Fries to the table behind me.My friends and i quickly ordered 1 portion to share and we smiled =) The fragrance of the truffle oil was pretty divine, fries were done quite nicely too! I recommend the ones here and it's pretty good for sharing. I be coming back to try the egg benedict and dessert!
