I was there for dinner. Most of the stalls have already closed so i left with little option. I decided to give this stall another go.The sesame chicken tasted just fine. It would be nicer if the sesame taste is a bit stronger. It tasted a little too mild with little ginger taste and too watery to my liking. The texture of meat was tender and not overcooked though. I think i shouldn't be expecting too much for just $3.50 with rice. The rice tasted right this time. I might try other claypot dishes

This was one of my Daddy favorite stall in Ang Mo Kio as he simply love the herby taste of the Bak Kut. He recommended me this place and I simply love it. The soup is so tasty that even the Bak Kut has absorbs all the goodness of the soup. The Bak Kut is so soft that just a fork and spoon can tear apart the meat and it so tender and nice to eat it. I strongly recommend this dish to all the Bak Kut Teh lovers.

We purposely made our way to this famous Bak Kut Teh stall from Ang Mo Kio Hub. There were so many people in queue, waiting to enjoy Bak Kut Teh during lunch time. I ordered a set of lunch, with spare ribs soup. The soup was savoury and the pork was solid. Special recommended this Tau Kua, Braised Peanuts and Preserved Vegetables. Adding more taste to normal Bak Kut Teh, unfortunely there was no Fried YouTiao anymore.

Overall, the price was reasonable and we enjoyed to have Bak Kut Teh here even it was a hawker centre.

Because their Fish Soups are very bland and the white sliced fish are all fresh, tender and tasty.
The soup was not salty or tasted full of MSG, I love it because they do not spam the the soup with loads of oily fried ingredients (i.e. fried onions and garlics)

And most important of all, the price of their Fish Soup is very cheap and reasonable too!
4 dollars for a bowl!

Fish Soup - $3.50Rice - $0.50Fish was very fresh, could tell with the tenderness of the fish slices. And also the texture was slightly springy which in my honest opinion.is the best choice of fish for sliced fish soup. The soup was very bland, with little (or no) MSG at all. There were only fish, tofu, and some green veggies in the soupwhich makes it very healthy choice for dinner. The soup was very clear and not murky like some other stallsI had sliced fish soup from. Definitely a healthier choice!

Fish Soup - $3.50
Rice - $0.50

Fish was very fresh, could tell with the tenderness of the fish slices.
And also the texture was slightly springy which in my honest opinion.
is the best choice of fish for sliced fish soup.

The soup was very bland, with little (or no) MSG at all.
There were only fish, tofu, and some green veggies in the soup
which makes it very healthy choice for dinner.

The soup was very clear and not murky like some other stalls
I had sliced fish soup from. Definitely a healthier choice!

However the rice was not that nice.
Next time, I shall request for Chu Mi Fen (Coarse Bee Hoon)

The service was very good as the uncle was friendly.
Environment was clean and peaceful

I enjoy drinking the soya bean milk from this stall as the texture is.much more smooth and filled with the natural fragrant of the fresh beancurds used in it. The portion is quite generous and it is also not too sweet too. Especially love to drink the hot version which taste great at any hours of the day and great to use for dipping the you tiao and other fried fritters too.

This is one of the better kway chap in Ang Mo Kio area. The waiting time can be long if you happen to come during their peak. I always take away a kway chap set for 1 pax. It came with a big portion of kway and a big portion of a mixture of ingredients like small intestine, big intestine, braised pork, tau pok, stomach, braised egg and salted vegetable. Their chilli complemented the kway and those ingredients nicely. It still tasted good even after i got home.

This stall has been in this food centre for the longest time. I started eating when it was still at $2.00. They have since increased it to $2.50 quite a while ago. This mee siam is served by a chinese elderly couple manning the stall. A basic plate of mee siam came with a reasonable portion of bee hoon with tau pok and an egg served with sambal chilli and a lime to enhance its taste. If the portion is a bit too little for you, you can order the $3 portion that served with a larger portion of be

Bought this drink for breakfast to eat together with YouTiao! I requested for less sugar and indeed it is not so sweet as compared to the original taste because i don't like sweet drinks. And the uncle is nice enough to reduce the sugar level of my drink! This soya drink is put inside a plastic cup because i asked for it and the price is affordable for many. It is nice when is dipped with YouTiao or plainly drink it!

Before you approach to this stall, you be able to smell the nice arroma from the prawn stock and noodles cooked by the stall owner. The prawn mee is filled with generous amount of fried egg omelette, fresh prawns and beansprouts. The secret is in their big pot of prawn stock which has been cooked for several hours before he is able to cook the prawn mee. Normally I will either buy back home or to eat at the coffee shop here, either way, both taste delicious.

Many mixed reviews about this particular stall for their lor mee. Some liked it and some do not. I eaten it a few times but think their standard is only passable and not outstanding. Their braised sauce is a bit too thin and watery, not sticky. They served it with a piece of fried wanton which is uniquely on their own. Other ingredients like braised egg, braised meat and fishcake included too. Their chilli has no part in helping to enhance the taste.

This is my alternative choice whenever my favourite mee pok stall is closed. Though the one from this stall is no way close to my favourite stall but their mee pok served with fishball, fishcake and lean meat is passable. They cooked the texture of mee pok nicely to leave a springy texture. When mixed it well with sauce mix and chilli, it is quite enjoyable. It would be even better if they leave out the spring onions!

Located in Chong Boon Market in Ang Mo Kio, Kwai Luck is well-liked for its cheap and delicious mee siam. A plate of mee siam which costs only $2 comes with egg and fried beancurd. You can top up 50 cents for extra egg or bee hoon. The mouthwatering gravy, which goes very well with the bee hoon, has a kaleidoscope of flavours.Kwai Luck mee siam, which opens only in the morning, is certainly one of the best mee siam in Singapore. Come down to Ang Mo Kio and try it for yourself.

Another nice chicke rice stall in my area. This stall is one of the longest surviving stalls in this food centre. Their roasted chicken is juicy and tender with nice fragrant. The rice is another important factor to differentiate a good chicken rice. The rice from this stall has met the mark. The chilli has got a nice spiciness which i liked. If may not be as nice as those big names but it definitely taste good enough in the neighbourhood.

This is a very famous stall for teochew style of fishball noodle. They are famous for their dry mee pok. My preferred choice is their kway teow. The kway teow tasted very good after mixed it with their special chilli. They served it with ingredients like fishcake, lean meat, fishball and a big piece of mushroom. One of the best that i ever tried. The waiting time can be quite long. Their business is always good and sometimes it sold out before 1 pm. This stall as indefinite off-day.
