Medz used to be very popular when it was first established in Singapore. Its concept is something like Marche, where there are different stalls within the compound, and they use a rounded light signal (like ramen champion), to indicate when your food is ready, eliminating the need to stand there and queue. I got the chicken, and side of mushrooms. Chicken was average but quite tender. Loved the juicy mushrooms.

Medz often holds promotions so check back often. Anyway, we went to Medz for some paella. It's wasn't too bad but the ingredients were really miserly. There was like far more rice than the ham (we ordered ham paella). There was a queue in front of the desserts section so we followed the queue. People were buying something known as the rainbow cake. It looks nice but tasted totally like a vanilla cake. Not worth it.

Went to medz just for dessert, and for a drink. Their beers have the one for one promotion, and ciders here cost 24 dollars for these 2 bottles. Toffee apple cider is sweet! And have the toffee after taste. The mosit rainbow cake has layer of cream cheese in between, and it reminds me of red velvet cake, just a much more prettier colorful version of it. Chocolate lava cake! It comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, of which I ignored and almost forgot about as I was busy attacking the chocolat

I have been to Marche before and Medz has a similar concept whereby they will give you a card upon entry, thus all you simply have to do when you are inside is to pass the card to the staff upon ordering. It is very convenient as you will only need to pay the bill indicated in the card upon exiting the restaurant. I like this concept as I personally do not fancy having too much loose change in my wallet. The food I order is hot plate chicken but it does not taste very nice though.

The dinning concept of Medz works like Marche, everything you ordered will be stored into a card given to you. When the food ready, the buzzer will alarm you for collection. Medz located at basement of Orchard Central serves Mediterranean foods at one stop. The nearest mrt is Somerset Station. It is a walking distance from the station to Orchard Central mall. I went back to Medz again for dinner the other day, and this time round I had the Salmon pasta from the Italian stall. I have had their awesome Carbonara pasta before, that's why I have pretty high expectation on this Salmon pasta. However, to my disappointment, this Salmon pasta is rather plain in taste. The tomato sauce is not rich enough, but the salmon is quite well-cooked though.

Medz is a place where they serve a variety of food at different stalls, mainly Mediterranean food. I tried the kebab from the Turkish stall this time. I ordered the kebab that consists of the mixture of lam and beef, and served on the sizzling hotplate with tomato sauce and lots of cheese. This is the first time I had kebab this way (other than the usual way where the meat is wrapped in the Turkish bread sheet). The meat is tender, but with some part of it crisply charcoal-burned.
