The concept at Medzs is very similar to Marche, but when it comes to the execution, they're very different. Thumbs up for that!

Ambience at Medzs is average, like a casual restaurant / food court, although the food counters tend to be better decorated. The false rock counters do make the place seem more Mediterranean, but those aside, the rest of Medzs looks like a typical Singaporean food court. Little pebbles on each table have the table number written on them, flip them over to reserve the table you want.
I love their rosti

The food there has not too much of choice, marche has a wider range of choices. This is the chicken and bacon skewer which is quite tender and succulent but not too salty. Good snack but expensive. $7 for one skewer.

The service at MEDZ is really very LAME!!! The service crew over there at not efficient and they were very rude to us. When we reached there, the service crew lead us to the table of the outer side of restaurent. As we were going to surprise my friend, we made our request to have a table of 9 in the inner side of the restaurant. The service crew took a very slow action towards our request and the worst was my birthday friend saw my second batch of friends with the cake. And the most worst thing was, the service crew took the cake in front to my birthday friend and ask what should she wrote on the cake!!! We were like what is she doing!!!

The food there was a disappointment too. NEver wanna visit the shop again.

For a large sampling of Middle Eastern and European cuisine, Medz's has got you covered. From one enticing food station, that transports you to a far-away spot of the world, to another, you will be hard pressed to choose just one dish to try.

Having tried the spicy but flavourful kebobs at the Greek station a couple of times before, my next stop was going to be the French stall where, among the braised beef and roasted lamb offerings, I selected the crispy leg of duck confit. After settling down at my table, I also ordered a potato rosti with dried sausage as a side dish.

The duck leg was tender and crispy, just the way it is supposed to be. The garnish in a way of potatoes and mushrooms was a little sparse and the mushrooms tasted bland, but the duck leg was generously basked in a semi-sweet glazing that was a perfect compliment to the dish.

The rosti was undersalted and the dried churizo sausage, placed on top, was oversalted, so I struggled to find that delicate middle in the flavor of the two. If done right, however, this dish is promising as a stand-along main entree.

With a variety of food selections from about eight different countries, Medz's is sure to keep its visitors coming back to try new dishes. The establishment also has a great selections of beers from all over the world. If not for eating, then for drinking, Medz's has just about everything for everyone's taste palette.

Over here, you self-order and self-collect your food, and while you go back to your table to wait for your food, they give you a beeper, which signals you when your food is ready. You also don't have to carry your cash around as you buy food, as each diner is given a card upon entry to the restaurant.

The furnishings of this place is done really well too, and there's a wine/beer cellar for you to enjoy as well. Would definitely go back again.

I went to Medz for dinner cause my auntie wanted to try this restaurant. This restaurant works like Marche whereby you will get a card to order your food and pay before you exit. We ordered a lot! Price can be a bit steep however, I enjoyed my dining experience there.

I didn't try the Duck Leg Confit ($12+) as I don't like to eat duck meat, but according to my friend, it was quite good, although she had doubts about it when she first saw her dish which was so tiny.

I had some of the Portobello Mushroom ($3+) and we thought it was average, not fantastic but just like the usual mushrooms that you eat in other restaurants.

My Fish & Mushroom Calzone ($8+) took more than the promised time frame to be ready. The chef had told me that it would not take longer than 10 minutes, but my friend almost finished her confit yet my calzone was still not ready! At first bite, the calzone was pretty bland. However after I dipped it into the sauce (tasted like tomato sauce) it was much better. The calzone didn't look too filling but I guess it is just the right size for ladies.

I also ordered a Mille Feuille ($5.50+) as my dessert, as it looked very pretty at the dessert stall. However it was quite a disappointing piece of dessert as the pastry was too crumby and not fragrant. The fruit filling was not too generous too. Quite disappointed with this really, not a value for money dessert.

So if I were to choose, I don't think I will pop by this restaurant to try its other food stalls next time, given the average food standard and not really worthy food prices. Thankfully there was only GST charge and no service charge.

Oh, 1 thing to mention is the lack of beverage choices here! Yes there were many types of beer available (in fact one-for-one), but non-alcoholic beverages were scarce and expensive! We bought a bottle of Evian Mineral Water each, which costed us $2.30+ each.
Guess only my Fish & Mushroom Calzone was the most reasonably priced amongst all the food & drinks we had....

Medz is a Mediterranean restaurant situated at Basement Two of Orchard Central. As for the food, it's generally quite good. Between the few of us, we ordered:

Roti - this is nice. Same as Marche's.
Kebab – average.
