MOF Japanese Sweets & Coffee (Closed)

This is a japanese restaurant that served many variety of food. There food there nice, the atmosphere there was just right. Ordered quite a number of foods everything taste good! The staffs are generally all quite polite and the serving of food was prompt. The only thing I feel not so attractive is that the layout of the tables in the restaurant was very cramped up and the waitresses, no matter how slim, banged into our chairs quite a few times while trying to serve the tables around us.

MOF's desserts are very novel because they combine hot and cold into one. I ordered their signature dessert, the imo, which consist of soft serve vanilla ice cream with fried yam and sweet potato and of course, mashy red beans. The red beans are soft and sweet and the yam and sweet potato are crispy and pipping hot. The ice cream is milky and creamy and it melts quite quickly due to the heat from the two fried items. It is a dessert that red bean lovers and those with sweet tooth will enjoy.

Ministry of food has many outlets in Singapore but this was my first time trying the food there. To me, I find that the variety is a bit limited. Each of us ordered a main meal for our dinner and shared some side dishes. The salmon was quite okay, still fresh but not as tasty as some other japanese restaurant. The udon was okay, just average standard. Nothing to shout about. Overall, I find this restaurant overrated. Maybe I will still patronize the outlet for their desserts.

Last month, my friends and i went to mof and i ordered the mango kakigori ($6.8). The dessert taste very nice. The portion is quite big in size. I recommended you share with friends or lover then you will have some empty “space” in stomach for others desserts. The mango paste taste nice and fresh. Whoever like mango are recommended to try this.

IF I visit Lot 1, I will sure have some snack at these MOF @ Japanese sweets & Coffee, I have the MOF membership, can collect points and 10% discount. However, this place offers a 10% discount. The soft ice-cream is good but can be creamier. The fried tapioca pancake is hot so you get a mixture of hot and cold sensation in the mouth when eaten with ice-cream. However, the seats are limited; you might need to queue in order to get a crumpled seat. It is not wise to stay there for long to chit-cha

Red Bean Soup with Japanese Rice Cake $6.90I like the combination of the japanese rice cake and red bean paste.The red bean paste is quite fresh and nice.The sweetness is just right for me.Soft serve ice cream cone $2.20This is similar to MCD's ice cream cone but nicer!!!The desserts of MOF is very nice..!!But the prize is quite expensive for student.Even though,i still will go there again.

The MOF at lot 1 actually replaced the delifrance, and there are more space now for more customers. And there are a lot of items on the food menu, so much so that i was lost at what to get for dinner. I settled for the unagi toji, and i had the x-large one which i share with my friend. Rice was added separately. The food is not bad, and the sauce goes well with rice, which was to be ordered separately. Customer service wise, we was seated at a corner and it seems like my table was always neglect

we were having light snacks at this placewe ordered a plate of salmon salad... it was small.. but could share with another friend if you are just testing it... fresh salmon and salad~ worth itthe other plate was chicken ball.. with mayo~ deco with side which includes cabbages slices and tomato cubes.. as well as sweet and sour japanese dressing which are good for clearing mouth =)

Ordered a mocha coffee at MOF at Lot 1 and just look at the drink, before you even try it, you fell in love with it because the display of the drink is just so nice! And it's not very expensive, probably cheaper than starbucks and coffeebean but the serving is quite big.You can order cold or hot for this and other than this, MOF has a wide range of drinks and food items such as ramen and more. Coffee had the perfect aroma and taste. It was sweet yet you can taste the bitterness in the after taste. It was so good, I ordered a second cup just to satisfy my taste buds. definitely worth every single cent I spent! Would totally go back for more cups of coffee!

The desserts here are fabulous and addictive. I have ordered their matcha red bean dessert several times now, and I am still loving it. I always add the almond flakes to give the dessert a little crunchiness. Be prepared to be sweetened by the red bean as it is really quite sweet. If you do not have a sweet tooth, you might want to share this dessert. It gets very sweet after eating for a while. I chose the matcha ice cream as it is not very sweet and thus complements the sweet red bean well. Yo

My girlfriend and I have a sweet tooth, we love desserts! I love the dessert at MOF. I love their matcha ice cream and red bean. Together with their mocha, it is indeed heavenly. The ice creams are always so nice, rich and creamy. The red bean gives the dessert an additional sweetness. It is absolutely delicious!

I wonder how many people would actually try their watermelon sundae. I was in one of those really random mood when i went for this. I cant help but to notice that the cup had changed. It is shorter now, though my friend was reminding me that it was broader too. But when i compared to the macha sundae that i had at the same outlet previously, i really had to say, the sundae had became smaller! The watermelon sundae tasted like, watermelon, Nothing surprising or out of ordinary. Just sweeter than

The dessert here is quite good and affordable. I ordered the matcha sundae which looks really appealing in the picture. The matcha ice cream was full of green tea flavor and it tasted a little like matcha latte. The vanilla soft serve was sweet and creamy, drizzled with green tea syrup which was not much of a green tea taste. There are some fruits at the side for a refreshing taste, and cornflakes and jelly at the bottom. It is definitely worth a try.

I loved MOF desserts! Though some of my friends would remind me that it might be slightly over-priced, i didnt really care cause i love my ice cream a lot!I had the matcha sundae this time round. It was good! With rich-creamy vanilla soft serve, fruits, jelly, cornflakes, green tea gelato topped with green tea syrup. What more can i ask for in a sundae? Maybe some red bean The soft serve melts quite fast though, thus it is best to finish it faster with a friend before the whole thing melts.The
