Nihon Mura Express (Closed)

We went for the weekday lunch sushi buffet for about $25 per person.The sushi here is quite affordable and we went a little overboard in ordering most of the sushi offered in the buffet. There is a large variety of sushi to choose from. The sushi served here is decent, the salmon rolls were fresh and tasty. The handrolls were also ok. I would come here to satisfy my cravings for sushi, but for really fresh, good premium sushi, you might might be slightly disappointed here.

Went over to nihon mura with my friend for dinner as we were craving for some japanese food. We order the ramen and curry rice. I love this type of ramen as the noodle is really Q. Nice to chew and goes well with the tasty soup. The egg was not too hard and it was to my liking. The curry rice was good too. Not too salty and not spicy as it is the japanese type of curry, The culet was well fried, crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. Great!

went down for sushi buffet during lunch time quite some time ago, there was no queue so it was much better than going down during weekends which normally will be flooded with people. since is buffet and not too expensive so i think we cant expect too much of quality. the sashimi were average, amai ebi was better compared to other fishes. the fried food was quite nice especially salmon skin was not bad, quite crispy

I was glad to see Nihon Mura at Cathay since that meant that I can have a sushi feast after my movie with my hubby. Being avid lovers of sushi, we ordered quite a few plates of the sushi and also sashimi. The sashimi is quite fresh and it is sliced thickly. cha soba & ramen are not bad, chewy and spongy noodles. The ramen soup broth is nice, not too salty or greasy. The cha soba is very refreshing with fresh green tea flavour.This is a good place to come to for affordable sushis, with most normal coloured plates going for $1.19 which is still quite a steal.Of course there are more expensive items on the menu but if you are looking for a affordable place to satisfy your cravings for basic sushis,this is the place.I could have 2 servings of their cha

Nihon Mura offers the buffet for student $22.35 per pax.The environment is quite good,i like the light.Teriyaki Pork Skewers, bacon wrapped asparagus..A big plate of sushi to be shared among three!We had sashimi of course and it was fresh and that was something nice to have. The chawanmushi was abit overdone so it was a bit hard, not very good. Overall the food is just normal, nothing to shout about.As for the service, it was considered acceptable. Nihon Mura is another kapenese restaurant that I like to do to. They have a unique ordering system where you drop ice cream sticks into the cup to choose what you want them to serve. Their sushi is fresh and tasty with a wide selection. The chawanmushi is delicious! It is served steaming hot and the egg is filled with japenese fishcake and mushroom.

Went there for dinner with my friend. We had ordered Sashimi and Unagi Don (forget the name) Salmon slices are fresh, but a little too thick. Scallops are ok. The Unagi was pretty great too, fresh. Chawanmushi is perfect to me, delectable smooth egg custard served PIPPING HOT. Chuka hotate (seasoned scallop) and seasoned jellyfish, came with shredded cucumber which makes for a great appetizer. They forgot our seasoned seaweed though.The taste is not fantastic but ITS CHEAP. Overall, average.

nihon mura dinenr buffet, had the sashimi plate, one of eac-. the salmon, scallop, tuna, swordfish was really so fresh and good. silky soft and tasty. althought the prawn was abit sticky, swordfish was bland (but with the soy sauce, awesome) , tuna very fresh, scallop was good juicy, delectable, salmon was the best out of all, it totally melts in your mouth, no fishy smell. had the sushi also, kebab. nice! service was slow and unresponsive! other than than the food is up to standard! about $26 e

For an affordable $10, you get to eat quite alot of sushi over here at Nihon Mura. Their sushi are priced at 99cents per plate. However, there was not alot of variety i must say. Perhaps I went around 8pm plus and there would not be alot of variety left at that timing. I also find the ordering method abit redundant: taking sticks from the item you wish to order, putting them in a container at your own table and finally having a staff to pick up the container from your table to prepare your order

We patronized Nihon Mura (at The Cathay branch) again as the sushi there were cheap. Being one of the Suki Group restaurants, the sushi there were only $1.19 - much cheaper than those at Ichiban Sushi or Sakae Sushi. The environment there was nice and serene with dim lighting and wooden table and chair. Nihon Mura was famous in selling the sushi at cheap price. They used to sell their sushi at less than a dollar. It has been years since my last visit to nihon mura. Reasons are they increase their price and i found the sushi is not as delicious as others Japanese restaurant.The salmon slice is too thin and the scallop is not fresh. Not worth for the money.
