There was no queue and heard good reviews and hence decided to give it a try. The croissant was fresh, crispy and smelled really good. It was tasty and not too oily, good enough to eat it plain. However, i find it quite costly, $2.50 for one. I think i will patronise again only if there is no queue.

This new cafe that use to be coffeclub made into a quaint shop that serves coffee and French pastries is my new favorite hangout. Paul Bakery basically is a French style bakery that has pastries, soup, and sandwiches too.The croissants are flaky, the coffee hot and fresh, and the service is wonderful. We also ordered a meringue pie which very satisfying. It is a very great potential place that will bring up the french afternoon tea trend up to all of the foodie lover. Biggest problem dining here

It is a very great potential place that will bring up the french afternoon tea trend up to all of the foodie lover. Biggest problem dining here will be the long queue and crowds. It has a take away counter that it's a great place to pick up freshly baked treats on your way home.

It took us 15, 20 minutes to queue before we got a seat at Paul on a Friday Evening. While waiting for my friend to arrive, the waitress served me ice water and I ordered a mint tea, however, she keep requesting me to make an order when I told her several times that I am waiting for my friend, and she is coming. Bad service indeed. The crépe mixte didn't turn out the way I expected it to be. The crépe had the right texture - soft and thin - but it didn't blend well with the ham and cheeseHowever,

However, the croissant is nice. My friend ordered the caesar salad, i don't think it is worth at this pricing. However, i took up some bread outside. No service charge required.

I came to know Paul the bakery while having my holiday in Paris. When I was there, I bought the croissants almost every day for breakfast and it made my day . The Singapore one did not disappoint me at all. I ordered a basket of pastries with baguette and some mixture of pastries. They even have giant macaroons and other deserts which is quite interesting to me as I have never seen it before. Their pastries can be quite on the high end however I felt that is is quite worth it. It is cheaper to buy from the bakery comparing to dine in at the restaurant do check it out when you are at Takashimaya Shopping Centre. Good to go with a bunch of friends or your date.

Decor was cool (sorry no photos) but the bf was commenting abt the funny indoor terrace that they try to replicate of France.. and playing old french music in the restaurant was a bit too much for him.. lol..

Was quite excited abt the menu because i remembered how i had loved the french pastries when we were in france.. too bad i was too full from lunch to eat so I had a cappuccino, which was quite basic.. and the bf took the chocolate viennoiserie (chocolate drink with whipped cream.. totally rich and yummy! )

We took Millefeuilles au chocolate as a small dessert (just to eat for the sake of eating there) and was very rich.. I doubt i will be able to eat the whole thing on my own.. but was good nonetheless.. by the way the name of the pastry means thousand layers.. abit like our chinese kueh.. lol.. so its made of pie-like pastry with choclate mousse in it.. quite messy to cut and eat though.. would really love to go back there for a proper meal.. but its not cheap lo!!

My friend and i ordered the chocolate crossiant, gourmadise, hot chocolate and hi tea set which comes with coffee and 3 macaroons to share. I find the chocolate croissant average, but the Gourmadise was really good. Gourmadise is of slightly thicker texture than croissant and there is cream filling in between. The hot chocolate is very thick, i think it is a must try for chocolate lovers. I also love the macaroons, especially the coconut macaroon, it tasted fresh, crunchy and not too sweet.
