Yomenya Goemon (Closed)

Our usual hangout katongi12 has lots of great makan place packed in one location; today we went Yomenya Goemon and ordered Smoked duck with mushroom spaghetti, aromatic smoke infuse duck were slight dry and tough but after you bury the duck inside the hot pasta and let it sit for awhile it will be softer; salty duck meat goes well with the perfectly cooked olive oil coated pasta and chewy mushroom. Hokkaido Cream Cheese Spaghetti Soup, being highly recommended by the staff; al dente pasta soak

Generally, I'm not a fan of fusion food, so when my friend wanted to have this for lunch I reluctantly agreed. I have to admit that their wide variety of pastas surprised me, and I decided to settle on the safe tomato based spaghetti with seafood. The dish was not bad, with fresh tasting seafood and al dente pasta. Since I just had that, I can only rank the food as okay. Shall see whether I can revise it if and when I return!

This Japanese pasta not only the portion is generous, the service from the restaurant staffs is also very good too. I have ordered the Carbonara with yolk and bacon and was quite attracted by the colourful presentation of it once presented to my table. It is very creamy and thick in texture. The added sliced bacon has also made the pasta very sweet too. Great to have it with their signature green tea.

Wanted to have something different and decided to go for the Japanese pasta here in I12! The variety was great and there was a lot of choices for pastas in different sauces and ingredients! I ended up ordering a chicken creamy pasta which i thought was pretty good!! Love the taste of the sauce and it wasnt too salty of too creamy which would leave u with a horrible aftertaste after eating too much. It was good and i would definitely be back

based on my girlfriend's recommendation, i ordered the hokkaido cream soup pasta. all the pasta comes with a small bowl of soup which is something like miso soup but a clear version. i felt this hokkaido cream pasta is actually something like carbonara but the more dilute version. compared to carbonara which contain mainly bacon, this hokkaido pasta contain more vegetables and give a less oily feeling when eating it

went down to yomenya again and this time i decided to try the cold pasta which was called mentai mayo. i had tried cold ramen before but cold pasta is definitely very new to me. the taste was actually something like pasta salad since the noodle was cold. the sauce was basically mayoniase so it kind of tasted very oily when u ate more. although the taste was not bad, dont think i will try this dish again since i do not really like cold pasta and mayo

Desserts make my day and craving for some, we headed to Yomenya Goemon at Marine Parade for some ice cream. I ordered the vanilla ice cream with green tea mochi and waffle biscuit. It’s a great combination and I enjoyed it. The portion is quite small, serving preferably for one person. The price is reasonable at $5.

New place for new try outs; ordered a Hokkaido Cheese Cream Soup Spaghetti with Scallop, Corn and Potato for dinner. Everything tasted so nice and creamy! The scallop tastes so fresh, I love it! I did not know that this outlet serves pizza till I saw some other tables having them. Seems like Yomenya Goemon is expanding it's chains as well as varieties.
