Being a tea junkie and a Dilmah fan, I was looking forward to finally attend the ‎Dilmah x Earle Swensen's tea appreciation workshop at Vivocity last week. The event did not disappoint, with the sessionwell planned and an experience that was fun as well as informative‎. The area set aside for our function was a tasteful, riot of colours. Various flavours of Dilmah's 'Excep...

Omakaza Smile
Tried this restaurant for few times. Previously it was at Mohd Sultan and now shifted to 59 Kampong Road. Today my husband decided to try their omakaze for my mother in law and my birthday. my hubby inform the chef in advance of our reservation and his budget for each person, also our preference. when we arrive, the boss show us our menu on the dishes the chef has designed for us. Overa...

My Little Tapas Bar is actually a sister outlet of My Little Spanish Place, a spanish restaurant at bukit timah area.  Their philosophy is based on the Spanish saying, "Mi Casa es Su Casa", which means "My House is Your House". The first Spanish restaurant to be helmed by two chefs with strong Spanish heritage – Maria Sevillano from Salamanca, Spain and Edw...

This is jaejooongs . I like to hang out in Somerset, Choa Chu Kang, Jurong East. I also love Dim Sum, Zi Char, Juices.

Conveniently located at the basement of Cineleisure Orchard where many youths hang out, you would expect a bright and colourful interior to have your meal in. My friend and I were waiting for our movie to start, so we decided to grab some lunch. Being a somewhat regular visitor, I'm no stranger to this place. But this time, I decided to have a good, deeper look into Graffiti Cafe. ...

In Chinatown Food Street there is never a lack of food choices...except vegetarian.  So Ci Yan Vegetarian is to my rescue! Pretty easy to find as it is on Smith Street near the South Bridge Road end, and got a little monk figure at the door. Needless to say the place is of Buddhist background as evidenced by the decor, but is open to all walks and religions.  The m...

This restaurant is tucked away in the alley to the right of the entrance to Bedok Mall (From the bus stop). Space in the shop is limited, about 30 seats but i had no problem getting a table for 2 at 12.30pm. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Bibimbap. The food looked just like in the pictures; well presented. Food tasted excellent, exceeded my expectations. The chicken was tasty a...

I've read great reviews and also read some horrible things about this place. I will just attribute my visit as an unlucky one becuase I belonged to the terrible-experience group of people sad  If you still want to give it a try since there are others who think its good, I have some tips to share on my blog on top of my review for this - http://teacoffeerain.wordpress.com/2014/07/13/...

On a hot morning, was invited by Openrice editor for a brunch breakfast. There were eight of us and the above was the brunch menu. The view was fantastic and the staff were friendly and made us felt at home. Drinks were served promptly without asking for attention. The breeze with the smell of Singapore River was fantastic. This is my earl grey tea and Pineapple drink. It was so ...

Mediocre  Cry
Went to Charly T's on a weekday afternoon and it was surprisingly empty unlike the other restaurants/cafes/eateries. Ordering was a hassle having to deal with reading off the board behind the cashier but I eventually settled for the pork ribs. However, I almost immediately regretted that choice. The sauce was cloyingly sweet, and it didn't complement the meat at all. The ribs ta...

My fiancé and I were very lucky to be selected as one of the 6 couples for the food tasting session organised by Openrice and Between* at Supply & Demand on 17 November 2013. Supply & Demand is a quaint and indie restaurant that was opened for a few months tucked in the touristy place at Esplanade. What’s most interesting about this modern Peruvian-Italian bistro? I wou...

My close friend had been urging me to visit Fosters because he said the scones there are really one of the better ones out there. So on a leisure weekend afternoon, I walked in to this cafe in a quiet little corner of Holland V and was asked if I had made a reservation. I found out that as the place is not big, there are limited seats, so reservations are strongly encouraged. As I didn...

Was here with my friends to have a quick dinner when we spotted this little Thai restaurant tucked at a corner. Decided to give it a try as the place was packed with people and looked promising. We order a bowl of Tom yum soup to share and for myself and a plate of fried rice for myself.  The Tom yum soup is spicy and full of ingredients. The boss is friendly and is full of smiles....

Frankly, it's hard to find satay beehoon with pig liver around anymore. They cooked it till they are really soft and it's definitely worth a try if you love pig liver! Items on their menu include fish soup, seafood soup, fish porridge and tom yam seafood soup. You can top up any of these with either noodles or rice. If I am not wrong, they do sell hee bok (fish internal organ) if you requ...

A fine & chill in cool relaxation style at Larkin area. The cafe refresh Residence & customer in their Clubhouse with slow retro music, modern songs & movies or Live football matches on big projector screen in their very own comfort zone at poolside dining. They also provide function, company event, birthday party & BBQ up-to 150-200 pax.
