Being a tea junkie and a Dilmah fan, I was looking forward to finally attend the Dilmah x Earle Swensen's tea appreciation workshop at Vivocity last week. The event did not disappoint, with the sessionwell planned and an experience that was fun as well as informative. The area set aside for our function was a tasteful, riot of colours. Various flavours of Dilmah's 'Excep...

Halloween has crept up on us once again and my post today is to show you where to have a "horror-ween" good time. Halloween is not widely celebrated in Singapore, in fact this year there's only the Halloween Horror Nights 5 that is happening. (I miss Sentosa Spooktacular) So you can imagine the crowds and queues there. Alternatively, one could actually celebrate Hallowe...
Last week, we visited Vivocity Earle Swensen's for a Tea Appreciation Workshop jointly held by Earle Swensen's x Dilmah. We got to try out some tea from the Dilmah Exceptional range as well as the new Teatime Happiness set available at Earle Swensen's outlet from 2:30pm to 5pm on weekdays. The range of "Dilmah Exceptional" teas were also displayed. Notice th...
A new cafe opens in the neighbourhood of Tanjong Pagar. Along Hoe Chiang Road is a cafe serving Asian-Western dishes with a twist! I was very attracted to the interior decor of the cafe which is very posh and immediately teleported me to some part of Europe where tiles are bricked in white and large, majestic gold mirrors hung on the walls.A perfect place for lunch, dinner or ju...

This is my first visit to the restaurant as the ramen outlet is very strongly recommended. We ordered the Tokusen Toroniku Ramen or Pork Cheek Ramen. Believe this is their signature dish. The Toroniku Cha-shu toppings are served separately from the ramen. Their are about six or seven slices of pork cheeks. The plate of pork cheeks that i got has got a mixture of lean and fat...

I wondered if the old auntie who took my orders was having a bad morning as she was pulling a glum face. Fortunately, it was another auntie who was rolling the popiah, though each roll turned out smaller than expected. Nitty gritty issues aside, I must confessed that the rolls here are one of the better ones I've had. I doubt it was because I ordered "加辣" as the rolls weren't very spi...
The beancurd is traditional kind, instead of the pudding kind. The pearls is with red bean paste inside. Very very good. Don't taste fake like sweetener. My friend had a Longan drink with glass jelly and pearls. The pearls is different for her. It has sweet potato inside. Also very nice. Quiet place and fast service.

Been wanting to check this out after being listed as being one of the best chocolate cakes in SG. Made a trip specially to Bukit Timah for this. The cafe is kind of small with 2 4-seater tables a long bench that sits about 3 couples or so. Due to its size, it is not really conducive to enjoy a cup of coffee as you will see the place being filled kind of quickly and there will be other...

A very small place, nice staff with decent coffee. The spiced carrot cake (S$5.90) was too creamy and sweet for my liking. Hummingbird cake (S$5.90) is one of the hot seller, it's moist and unique flavour of bananas, pineapples, coconut and a perfume of cloying sweetness. Sweet tooth lover, you'll him with delight in every bite! The red velvet cheesecake was sold out so...
Came to this district to visit a hobby shop. It was lunchtime, so we just hopped into Ubi 33 Food House. ## First Impression ## A very well-ventilated place with big ceiling fans. Bright-colored settings with neat & clean tables. No sight of any pests (birds, cockroaches & flies) in the dining area. The walkways were very spacious even though the tables & benches...
Full review:http://www.jacqsowhat.com/2015/07/old-bibiks-famous-peranakan-rendang.html The idea behind Old Bibik now is to package traditional Nyonya dishes in a fast food concept at wallet friendly prices. Old Bibik's Peranakan Kitchen started out in 2012 as a food stall at the former Lavender Food Square, I'm sure some of us would know of. They have then expa...

Key Takeaways: - Yakiniku means "grilled meat" - Quality food and great service whic...
