Hot Tomato? Is the shop filled with tomato theme? Let's check it out.It was rather unusual or rare to see business that is guide dog friendly and Hot Tomato is just one of them. The number of seating in their outlet was rather limited and just before us, they had a reservation for a table of 13 and we had waited about 10 minutes before the table was ready for us. We were here for a birthday celebration needing a table for 8 adults and 2 babies. The restaurant has enough space to cater for us. We are not the quietest bunch but the cafe did not give us "face" to see. I had this salmon and olive rice. Yummy treats for tummy. Hot Tomato needs no introduction as as it has been around for a long while. Went to hot tomato for lunch with my friends on a weekday. The place was quite cosy and it was not really crowded. Ordered the grilled dory fish Grilled dory fish with aglio olio. The food was served quite fast! Personally, i feel that the fish was average but the skin was quite crispy. Their aglio olio was not bad as it was not very oily as compared to other places. Overall, the food was affordable and pretty nice Recommended and worth a try!

Linguine tossed with fresh salmon, prawns, mussels and garlic white wine, fresh tomato and basil in a flavourful marinara sauce, this pasta was delicious. The salmons and mussels given were in little amount but the prawns given were quite a generous amount. The seafoods were fresh and were well coated with the sauce. The sauce, which was a mixture of garlic white wine and marinara sauce, was really flavourful and tasty.

A pretty small shop located at the perimeter of Star Vista. I went with a group of 6 friends, and the waitress there are pretty bad at seating people. They keep allowing small groups of 2 pax to enter, making our overall waiting time to around 30 minutes. Last Thursday gather with my friends. We went the Hot Tomato Cafe & Grill located at Buona Vista. There is a promotion --- All day upgrade for mushroom soup & lime juice. Since a few of my colleagues and I were at Star Vista, we decided to check out Hot Tomato Cafe & Grill. I ordered the Lobster Linguine ($16) and topped up my meal to get an Ice Lemon Tea and a Chocolate Cake for dessert. While they were quite generous with the lobster serving, the pasta sauce was only average. In fact, it was a bit too oily for my preference. Look at the steak. Yes, juicy and tender good looking food tempting you to eat it. It may be just a little bit over cooked that caused it to be a little bit elastic but overall still really good. It was a relaxing lunch at Hot Tomato, located at the 3rd level of Star Vista. Star Vista is mostly not air-conditioned (surprisingly, given that it is a new shopping mall) and it was sweltering hot yesterday. Really glad to hide inside Hot Tomato for lunch where it's cooler. This restaurant is quite crowded but there was an empty table so I don't have to wait. Prices are subjected to 10% service charge and 7% GST as usual.
