If you are looking for a place with great ambience, Pies & Coffee is the place to go. It was a groomy Saturday when i was there. It is nicely tucked away at a quiet corner of Rochester Drive. The location is within walking distance from Buonas Vista MRT. Pies and Coffee serves good tea too although it's name gives you the impression that it only has coffee. The teas here are available both hot and cold, and I had a fruit tea that was iced. The tea comes unsweetened, so you have to add some sugar syrup yourself till your desired sweetness. I like the tea because it is refreshing and light and cuts the fat and richness from the pies.

Pies and coffee is a unique concept that focuses on pairing pies and gourmet coffees and teas together. The pies here are pretty good with a nice crumbly buttery pastry paired with a savoury tender meat filling. My favorite was the wagyu beef cheek pie which had nice chunks of tender beef inside a crisp pastry outer. However one qualm is that the pie is really not large enough to fill you up. Being a relatively small eater even I was not full after eating the whole pie and the side mash.
