Serenity Spanish Bar and Restaurant is located at the ground floor of Vivocity. If you request for alfresco dining, you will get a seat overlooking Sentosa – the view is gorgeous at night. And not to worry, we did not encounter any mosquitoes there. We ordered a starter: Albondigas. Its basically 2 huge beef balls with a tomato sauce, onions and peas. We also ordered the paella Valencia. Which is a rice dish with seafoods such as prawn, mussels, fish, squid and also chicken and chinese sausage. I found Serenity’s paella no different from other paellas I’ve sampled before. Though this is the first time I’ve tried a paella with chinese sausage!

The sofa were low but it's not that uncomfortable.The pork knuckle is really humongous and please don’t attempt to finish it yourself or two persons. It is best to share with a couple of friends. The pork knuckle was crispy, but a little oily. It costs $39, yes it is expensive. Nice ambience to chill out, but pricey.

The salad was rather fresh, light and nice. And the spaghetti Aglio Olio was very delicious, it was cooked just right, which the texture was springy! And it was cooked with generous amount of olive oil and bacon, which tasted simply yummy.

Hmm, but the pork chop was a little disappointing. The meat was a little hard and the frech fries was not that fresh. It seemed like it has been cooked for the 2nd time, which tasted dry and hard. I actually feedback to the manager, and glad that they were willing to change the fries for us.

Service was rather good.

Came with my friend to tried thisWe plan to share together so that we can try out more food but their potion turned out to be quite smallWe tried their signature bread with aioli & anchovies,peppers & cheeseBoth of the bread was just "so so"Osia flatbread tasted much better than this 2 bread The aioli was quite disappointing,It tasted like a mild garlic scented mayonnaise, rather than the thick yellow spread that aioli is supposed to be.Overall i rate 6/10

Celebrated my sister's birthday at Serenity Spanish Bar & Restaurant recently. We ordered quite a number of dishes. One of it which I really liked was the Crema Mariscos, this mildly creamy seafood soup. It was filled with fresh mussels, calamari, prawns and fish which provided a perfect blend to the soup. Wondering how's the taste of the spanish foods? At Serenity, you will get all the answer from here. Lots of traditional spanish foods are served here and definitely will impress you! Especially love their cod fish cake that is soft and juicy! Here also sell who roasted pig which is great for gathering and special occasions! Two thumbs up! My verdict: 7.5/10

Went there for a relax dinner with my friend. I like the sofa seats although it’s a bit low. But it’s comfortable and make you feel like your own home. When it’s reached 8-9pm there, you will see a live band singing Spanish songs on the stage. It’s very relaxing and calming sitting there enjoying my dinner. Their service is good. I’ve ordered their homemade fried fish cake. It’s crispy outside but very soft inside. The portion is not so big since it’s the appetizer. I’ve ordered the seafood pael

Went there for a relax dinner with my friend. I like the sofa seats although it’s a bit low. But it’s comfortable and make you feel like your own home. I’ve ordered their homemade fried fish cake. It’s crispy outside but very soft inside. The portion is not so big since it’s the appetizer. I’ve ordered the seafood paella as well. The rice is fragrance and it’s not too bad. I’m expected the seafood is cooked with the rice. Apparently, it’s just being boiled and put on the top of the rice. Its looks a bit plain and it’s not tasteless if you just eat it without the rice. I feel a bit of disappointed on this. The stir fried mushroom is fantastic. It’s juicy, soft and simply seasoned with black pepper and cooked with some olive oil. Simple and taste absolutely delicious. A small plate as well, a good appetizer as well. It’s come down to the dessert, the Churros with chocolate always my pick. The hot and crispy Churros is taste light salty and the chocolate is sweet. It’s a perfect combination. The drinks that they served are nice, pick your favorite cocktail, mocktail, beer or wine and enjoy there.

Calamares a la plancha
This is a dish of freshly grilled squid with virgin olive oil. The squid is tender and succulent, very nicely dressed in olive oil. This is good for a starter. There are only 3 pieces of squids and it costs $15.80.

Solomillo al Foie
This is grilled beef with Foie Gras. The beef was very well grilled. It was tender and succulent which leaves a good bite. The beef was all lean meat with no fats. Coupled with the Foie Gras and gravy, this is a delectable dish. It comes in 2 pieces and costs $18.

Paella Valenciana
This dish resembles Chinese claypot rice and is filled with Saffron, chicken, Spanish chorizo, tiger prawns, squid, half-shell mussels and rice. However, it is slightly different as it does not have charred and crispy rice. The rice is very well-flavoured and the seafood are very fresh. It uses a special kind of rice that can absorb the flavour of ingredients 3 times better than normal rice. The serving for this dish is for 2 pax and it costs $43. The waiting time for this dish is about 30 - 45mins so it is recommended to order this first.

Had my valentine's day celebration at Serenity.Wonderful place with nice ambiance, good live music, and a nice view of harbourfront river. There are 3 different types of seats in the place; alfresco, indoor cushion, standard dining seats. Choose your preferred dining location and the staff will gladly accede to your request. Menu is full of spanish dishes. They have very good tapas which is a good appetizer. In addition, the menu has quite a few of Singapore's top 100 dishes.Try it out!

Cuisine
Serenity Spanish Bar & Restaurant serves authentic Spanish fare.The menu has a wide range of tapas, salads, mains and other Spanish delicacies. Their specialty is paella and they dare say that they have the most authentic and best tasting paella in Singapore because they use the best and freshest of ingredients, and their chef prepares each dish to exacting standard.

I was given a sofa seat by the Window facing the Resort World. Actually I am not particular about seating but the staff kindlt offered me a wondeful seat to enjoy the ambience. I must admit that the view would be spectacular at night and when the Resort World is officially built.

There is a live stage where live bands & performances would be held. Spanish music is played. Although I do not understand, I actually felt quite relaxed. I guess those it would be great when eating spanish tapas and watching the live performances at night!

I decided to take the SET LUNCH priced at $11.90++ which I felt that it was pretty reasonable for a 3 course meal. There is a choice of salad/ soup of the day, pasta( penne/ spaghetti), type of sauce and ingredients (mixed vegetables and mushrooms, beef bolognese, etc), a choice of ice-cream and a free drink.


Fresh Green Salad

Some salad leaves mixed with olive oil vingrette, simple and light. It serves as a great appetitizer.


Fusilli with mixture vegetables and mushrooms tomato sauce

I had the fusilli with the choice of mixed vegetables and mushrooms in tomato sauce. They are quite generous with the serving and there were quite a few types of vegetables in the pasta.( Zucchini, Carrots, yellow squash and mushrooms) all tossed in tomato sauce. I love any pasta that goes with tomato sauce as cream sauce tends to be a little heavy. There were bits of fragrant garlic bits in the pasta and I sprinkled some black peppercorns to spice it up. It was not too bad.


Strawberry ice-cream

There was a choice of Chocolate/ vanilla/ Strawberry flavour. I had the strawberry flavour and it was served ina cup with some nice buttery digestive biscuits sprinkled at the top. The ice-cream is just ordinary, not much strawberry flavour.

The service here is quite friendly but a little slow. I love teh ambience here and would definately come back for the paella and probably have some tapas while watching the live performances at night!
