Apparently, this has been a perennial favourite of tourists to Singapore. Especially the ones from Hong Kong. So I had a request to buy 6 of these full sized pandan cakes.Shocking? I never bought so many at once before. Nor have I tasted it for a long while. I asked for it to be sliced and the lady over the counter advised me against it as it would cause the cakes to become dry after a period of time. The one that I bought for my own consumption however, she gladly sliced for me. Look at that! T

The one that I bought for my own consumption however, she gladly sliced for me. Look at that! The pandan fragrance wafts through my plastic carrier. The soft spongey delicate texture was something that cannot be replicated in the factory made pandan cakes. This was a morning delight for breakfast.
It's been a long while since I've had pandan cakes from Bengawan Solo and I was hooked. Get yourself one this weekend!
