There were few categories of Crystal Jade resided in Singapore. I went to some outlets, the food served was totally different. Had a quick dinner with a friend, we were eating at here. Menu was attractive, probably to attract younger generation. Both of us ordered it, I guessed it was quite famous. Simply decent Fried Rice with Shrimps, Chicken, Ham, Egg and Veggies in traditional style, the taste was great yet lacked of burnt fragrance. The portion was actually not too big, priced at $10.80++.

Everytime when i come to Crystal Jade, their Seafood fried rice and the Xiao Long Bao always my first choice. Their seafood fried rice full of crab meat and fish, and the most important things is the ingredient is fresh. Compare to other restaurant's xiao long bao, i prefer crystal jade one because some of them serve the xiao long bao which already cold and the taste not nice alreay. Btw, crystal jade always the place that I will dinner with my friend.

My all time favorite from Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao is the "Suan La" La Mian, or Spicy-sour Ramen. So I ordered that for dinner at the branch at Bugis Junction, and was quite taken aback at the color of the soup base. It is darker than usual and I was right. Who says only shang hai has famous, nice xiao long bao. You can eat them in singapore at crystal jade too!! What's really attractive about xiao long bao and not char siew bao is the juice which is inside the ba. Its so amazing that the juice inside the skin of the bao can contain the juice in it. It's my first visit to this Crystal Jade outlet, which hidden in the far end corner at the basement level. I ordered the Steamed soup xiao long bao (4 pieces for the price $5.20), and totally in love with the juiciness of the filling. Upon bursting the bun, the soup just oveflown and can't even hold by the soup spoon. Taste wise, very rich flavour. yummy. Noodles in Sichuan style with pork and wanton ($10.80) is not a bad choice, but could be too thick and filling when you finish the whole bowl.

Ordered fried onion pancake, buns, chicken soup, bowl of ramen.The bowl of ramen is a really huge bowl, the serving size is quite big. My partner and I had to share it in order to finish it. The xiao long baos are one of my favourites too. Chicken soup is clear and tastes good. Fried onion pancakes are delicious too. It was a good experience overall. However, we had to wave to the servers several times before we could get our tea refilled.

I was having lunch at Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao when I spotted Sheng Jian Bao (生煎包) in the menu. Sheng Jian Bao , is a really delicious distant cousin of xiaolongbao. When to bugis and dine at Crystal Jade La Mian. Came here for their xiao long bao and ordered their Ha Gow too. And their chinese food as it has the traditional taste that i once tasted from Beijing. Therefore will always go back to here and eat their food. Atmosphere was not bad but just abit to cold . The Ha Gow and a thick crytal like skin cover up the prawn and meat and eat it with chilli sauce and it taste wonderful.
