I ordered the fried rice with shrimp and eggs. This is an extremely popular dish, whereby it only consists of  rice, shrimps, eggs, and spring onions. This fried rice is really delicious, tasty up till the very last grain. The rice is soft and moist, definitely not dry. The shrimps are very fresh and succulent, not those small shrimps you usually find in other fried rice dishes. The rice is fried with lots of eggs which make it extremely fragrant and all the ingredients complement well together. In addition, the dish is not very oily!

the steamed pork dumplings which contains minced pork wrapped in a delicate dough skin, which is then pleated, twisted at the top and steamed. The xiao long bao itself consists of a minimum of 18 exquisite folds which requires extremely great techniques and skills to master it well.

The xiao long bao skin is soft and delicate, the interior is filled with the broth which is flavourful but quite oily. The meat which makes up the filling is tender and delicious! The way to eat the xiao long bao is to dip it in soya sauce with vinegar and put the whole piece in your mouth, to savour the taste and enjoy every bite of it smile

This is indeed a delicacy and a must to order at din tai fung! One will never fails to notice this dish at every table.

Conveniently located at the heart of jurong, this outlet at JEM definitely is still attracting a lot of customers to them. This time, both of us ordered two longs of xiao long baos, one with crab, another one with pork. I prefer the one with crab because it has a more unique taste as compared to the pork ones and those outside. My friend loves the dan dan mian a lot too, but such a pity for me because I can't take spicy food.

Fried rice with fresh prawns $10.80 - the texture of the rice was moist and not lumpy. It was also very fragrant and the prawns were really fresh too.Crispy golden prawn pancakes at $8+ were really good. if you've been to DTF and did not try this, you're losing out! Although it was a little oily, the wonderful taste and texture made up for it. It gets addictive with every bite.

I'm quite particular with their food quality because hopping to different outlets of Din Tai Fung, there seems to be differences. But for at least, this outlet is one of their saving grace.

Steamed Pork Dumplings

The steamed pork dumplings were good and especially when it comes to the dumpling skin texture, neither thick or thin and it actually brings out the taste of the soup and meat fillings within this tiny dumplings.

Oriental Wontons with Black Vinegar & Chilli Oil

I'm always curious about this dish which I always heard from Taiwanese drama called 红油抄手 and I finally tried it. So it is just wontons in black vinegar and chilli oil with spring onions as garnish. But I'm quite impressed as having vinegar in this dish actually stirs up your appetite. Quite nice as in the filling are fresh, especially the prawns.

Fried Dumplings

It is crispy on the outside while it's hot and the fillings are made up of minced prawns and pork if I'm not wrong. Nice to have if you want some munching.

Noodle with Spicy Sauce

The handmade noodles was good and in fact always better than machine made because the texture can be determined with the skills of the dough master. However it has no unique taste coming from it though it is spicy. A can-have dish if you are craving for some spicy food.

I also actually ordered the Steamed Red Bean Paste Buns (not in the photo). It is quite mini in size, skin texture was just right and also soft, and the paste within has that subtle sweetness which non-sweet lovers can opt for it.

Of course, Din Tai Fung is famous for their Xiao long Bao so of course I had to order some to eat! Din Tai Fung's xiao long bao is basically a dumpling with a bit soup within and a portion of juicy pork! You don't really need to eat it with any soy sauce or vinegar as the xiao long bao is laready extremely appetizing by itself! Simply a must-eat whenever you're at Din Tai Fung!

I have been to Din Tai Fung many times as it is one of my usual dining places (due to my love for chinese food and dim sums). What I like most about Din Tai Fung is that they will occasionally add new items on their menu, and I wouldn't get bored of them. We ordered our usual (one noodle dish and one fried rice) and tried one of the new items - smoked duck spring roll (the small plate in the center). IT WAS SO SO GOOD!!! 葱香鸭卷 ( New on the Menu) and Fragrant Pork with Crushed Garlic 蒜泥白肉. The sliced duck is really nice and crispy and the fragrant pork is also pretty good. The fragrant pork is actually a cold dish and the pork is served with cucumber wrapped in it. The sauce is really unique and flavorful, i am a little hesitant to order when i saw that it was served with crushed garlic but the garlic in this dish is not overpowering and blends well with the sauce. Yummy Dinner tonight! 100% Satisfaction

Despite arriving early (not much people inside with a whole section empty but closed as they were still laying out the utensils), we had to wait for 15 minutes. Upon being seated and already submitting our orders, we waited for a further 30 minutes for our orders to arrive while some diners who had arrived later than us had already gotten their food served. Food was good however the wait was too long. I'd recommend you to skip DTF on a weekend and visit it on a weekday (early) instead.

I went to try out this outlet at this newly open shopping mall JEM. The environment is quite big and nicely renovated. We waited for quite sometime as the queue is quite long. We ordered the chicken soup, suan la soup, egg fried rice, egg fried rice without spring onions, xiao long baos and dou sha baos. The chicken soup is nice, hot with tender soft meat. We waited for quite long for the dou sha baos, think they have make it smaller. The fried rice is nicely cooked, egg lovers might like this.
