Sizz shio tare gin set meal. This dish is very served like Claypot salmon fish with Nagi rice too. Both meal set also serve with orange slide and small piece of cole tofu.

Ichiban roll was fry prawns roll. This plate and roll was considered bigger than normal sushi. Covered with cucumber, fried prawns , mayonnaise dressing and sushi rice. I personally find is too big to place in one shot. Possibly 2 or more bite require. The rice can be more favour to bring up this dish.

Has always been dining at ichiban, but this is my first time at ichiban boshi. Their menus are different. Somehow, ichiban boshi give me a feeling that is it a more ‘atas” restaurant as compared to ichiban. Anyhow, the food here is awesome! I ordered this black pepper beef set which consists of charwanmushi, tofu, sashimi ( my all time favorite), rice, black pepper beef and miso soup. It was quite a feast to me and it cost sgd $18.90++. The food quality is good especially the beef, it is fresh and the black pepper sauce is well flavored. Sashimi was fresh and chewy too. My only complaint is the rice was a little hard. Other than that, all is good. The staffs were very friendly and attentive too. They are fast in their action too. For eg when we ask them to top up our ice water or get us saucer, they react immediately and pass it to us within a minute.Overall, it’s a pleasant experience here. Will definitely return in future.

My friend was telling me about cold soba here so I decided to try it for myself. I come to the conclusion that I much prefer warm soba. The cold soba was a tad too cold and made the soba rather limp and soggy. It had a weird feeling in my mouth and probably because I was not used to it. The fried shrimp was quite nice to eat whereas the vegetable kakiage was rather forgettable because it was not hot. Will be back to try other stuff though.

Had the salmon sashimi dish which was served with chili padi and sesame oil over sushi rice! The combination sounds a little wierd but actually comes together really well! Ichiban has pretty good food! I had the matcha and vanilla ice creams for dessert, and they were quick good to my surprise considering ichiban is not really known for their desserts. The matcha ice cream is my favorite, being smooth and creamy with a distinct matcha flavor! You can really distinguish the taste of the matcha with every bite! The vanilla ice cream is not bad too but there is nothing special about it!

Yummy delicious japanese beef in sweet shabushabu sauce is just a perfect way to whet the appetite. This set meal comprises of quite a lot of things such as a large bowl of shabu shabu hot pot, cheesey prawns and brocholi and duck. This meal was definitely sumpsious and filling. The udon goes really well with the sweet shabu shabu soup and the beef was nice and tender.

Nice sushi. Not cheap but the quality is pretty good. It's better than most places. There is takeaway sushi and there's a lot of variety and sauces to choose from. The sushi here is pretty nice. And they are delicious and I would surely patronise again for their other main course. It was filling too so definitely worth going there again!

Ichiban Boshi is probably one of the coziest Japanese chain restaurants. Think dark wood with high booths in dim ambient lighting. A perfect place for a casual yet romantic dinner with your date or a cozy catch up with your group of friends and your boyrfriend. But i choose to go with the rice bowl set. my bf with the gyoza rice set.

However, i still prefer mine.

I think Ichiban Boshi whips out decent value for money japanese sets. Take for example this Katsu Don and Cha Soba set which costs about $16++:Katsu Don, green tea flavoured Soba noodles, thick slices of fresh sashimi, miso soup and watermelon. It is really really filling. The food was really fresh and the each portion of noodle and rice were not small at all. All the foodstuff were nicely arranged in a huge tray and the waiter will serve everything at one go. I particularly enjoyed dipping the s

Katsu Don, green tea flavoured Soba noodles, thick slices of fresh sashimi, miso soup and watermelon. It is really really filling. The food was really fresh and the each portion of noodle and rice were not small at all. All the foodstuff were nicely arranged in a huge tray and the waiter will serve everything at one go. I particularly enjoyed dipping the soba into the soba sauce and slurping every bit of cold noodles. The katsu don had generous toppings of pork cutlet and egg, in fact, I was surprised that the pork cutlets served were quite huge. I had trouble finishing one set meal alone, so do drop by if you are really hungry. They serve a variety of set meals and it was difficult to choose which one to order. The suntec outlet specializes in soba, they have a specialty kitchen where you can watch your soba noodles being made on the spot.

Nice sushi. Not cheap but the quality is pretty good. It's better than most places. There is takeaway sushi and there's a lot of variety and sauces to choose from. The sushi here is pretty nice. Not sure how long they have been sitting on the shelves as there is such a great variety and not many people are buying. Also, they do not mark down prices even close to closing time, so the sushi doesn't exactly fly off the shelves. It's convenient to get takeaway sushi here.

We went to Ichiban Boshi at Suntec City Mall for dinner. I ordered the unagi steamed with egg and rice. It costs $20 for the meal. The meal tasted great as the unagi and egg were fresh. The unagi portion was small and mostly was egg. It makes a good place for dining as the ambience is great for catching up.
