One of the best fried carrot cake (white) can be found at the Ang Mo Kio Central Market & Food Centre.The carrot cake itself is soft and is well covered with egg – this combination is perfect as it is crispy around the edges with a nice fragrant eggy flavour! The picture below is of the $4 serving size and comes with sambal chilli which goes well with the carrot cake.

Before I head to AMK I read from Openrice review about this stall and when I reached there I kiasu and join the queue without looking for a seat! Today ordered a plate of fried white carrot cake for $3. There is $2 and $4 versions also. Today's version is fried by an aunty. I remember it used to be an uncle. Their carrots cake are awesome. I ate this stall of carrot cake since i'm young and they remain there for quite a long time already. The taste did not change and the stall is handled over to the son when the past is handled by the dad! It is tasty and you cant stop eating them when you start to eat them with you chopsticks! The carrot cake tasted soft. It was cut into small pieces and fried with a generous amount of egg and preserved radish. It was pan fried well to give it the crispy texture. Somehow love the carrot cake from this stall. They do offer you different servings, ranging from $2 to $4. This plate only costs me $3, cheap yet large portions served. Their carrot cake actually smells nice, well, tastes nice too. The carrot cake is nicely fried, and the outside kinda crispy to me, yummy! Well, their chillies are spicy too, but actually tasted weird when combined with the carrot cakes.
