Hot Star Large Fried Chicken (已結業)

The aroma of evenly coated fried pieces of chicken wings can be smeeled a distance away. The crispyness of the chicken is really good and the chicken is not oily hence one can go on eating this chicken wing without feeling overly bloated due to the oil. Great with chilli sauce or on its own and the ginger slices on top of the chicken adds a new flavour and heat to the chicken.

This is one of the popular delicacies in Taiwan! The fried sweet potato. I love the sweetness in the sweet potato. But a down side to this would be the amount of oil they use. The whole thing is really oily. I bought this in a set with the chicken and the drink. Total cost is about $7. After eating for a while the oil got to me and I was not able to finish it

This is very popular and always having a long q during peak hours.Fell in love with this ever since I came back from TW. Despite the long waiting time as it is freshly fried upon ordering,it still attracts people to buy it! They are very generous towards sprinkling chilli powder when u ask for more,whatsmore they won't give it attitude problem upon request. I will try the Lemon Chicken the next time i buy. This cost $4.20 and they have a set meal which comes with fries and drinks at $6.90.

Ever since this much raved about fried chicken stall first opened in Singapore, I have been dying to try it out. This fried chicken is super huge and can be shared amongst 2 people. I love it! The taste and everything is not as good as in Taiwan, but overall, it is good though slightly too oily. The chicken combo meal costs about $6.70 in total.

I tried this XXL fried chicken in Taiwan, Macau, Hong Kong and now in Singapore! I went with anticipation but a little let down by the standard. It is actually not too bad if no comparison. The chicken meat tasted quite bland especially at those thicker part. The tip is to ask for extra chilli powder to be sprinkled on the chicken cutlet to give it the extra flavour. The chicken cutlet was nicely fried so it did not taste too oily. I might give it a try again if i happen to be there again.

Brought a set of the XXL crispy chicken with a cup of the lime juice.The size of the crispy chicken is really large, larger than a human palm size. The crispy chicken is well deep fried, has a light golden brown colour, soft and tender texture and is sprinkle with the plum powder. The plum powder has a slight sour and sweet taste and goes well with the chicken. The batter is also well prepared, crispy yet not oily skin. The lime juice is light and refreshing, not too sweet and not too diluted. P

I just came back from Taiwan a few weeks ago. I have tried Taiwan's 豪大炸鸡排（ fried chicken fillet) selling at Shilin Night Market .The size and taste of this fried chicken selling in Singapore is just like what I ate at Taiwan, and they too do not cut the chicken into smaller pieces.The chicken cost four dollars and if you want to add sour plum powder and other flavour, it will cost more.

It was recommeded from friend so I decided to try it. The chicken was huge in size. First bite, it was piping hot and smelling deliciously of fried chicken. The chicken is boneless and personally I think its difficult to bite as they didn't cut in into pieces. They also add some chili powder and pepper on it and make the chicken taste peppery and spicy. The chicken was crispy outside and tender inside. Overall, the chicken was good.

I seldom go to city square mall,but few week ago while going there for dinner,i saw this stall so i go for a try There's not much people there,waiting time took about 10minsTheir chicken cost $4,It was very huge & they don't cut in pieces same like taiwan ,I ordered the original ,i thought they will add in plum sauce,but actually original one they don't give any sauce so was a bit disappointed as it was quite blend& the chicken have bone tooOverall i rate 5/10

Only managed to grab a drink on my visit. I was told that the chicken cutlet was sold out for the day.Their lemonade did not disappoint me though. The drink was zesty enough and it was not too watery.It would have been better if they had put a sign up, I queued up for 7 minutes before knowing. Several people behind me were queuing too and when they overheard, the queue just dispersed.

Was at the area and i saw this shop, hot star selling large fried chicken. Immediately i went to buy 1 as i really love fried chicken. It taste especially good when eaten hot, but even when it turn slightly warm, it still taste good too. When added with the chilli and pepper powder, it taste even better too! Will be back for more if i happen to be at that area again!

This is a memorable dinning experience for me because We have tried the famous Hot-Star fried chicken cutlet in Taiwan then Macau and later in Hong Kong and now in Singapore. My girlfriend and I were shopping around city square mall when we came across hot star. I found the name of the shop so familiar until my girlfriend reminded me that it was from Taiwan. I was so thrilled to see that hot star opened in Singapore. I remembered buying it at shihlin night market and dan shui fisherman wharf when I was in Taipei. I ordered their ala carte chicken. It was a huge piece. The person only prepares the chicken when you order so the chicken is crispy. I love the outer coating, it is so crispy and they seasoned it very well. The inside chicken is so juicy and tender. even the juice that ooze out is so tasty. it totally taste like the ones I ate in Taiwan. N
