I went to this really special restaurant for ramen. They allowed customers to choose the oil you want for your ramen and I chose the normal amount! I kind of like the ramen as it was so soft to bite on however, i dislike the taste of the soup as it was too salty for my Original Tori King Ramen! The big chicken drumstick was another thing I liked about this stall! It was so awesome! The meat was very tender and soft to bite on and it was so well marinated!

Sick of the normal char siew pork broth ramen? Why not give it a try for this chicken ramen! Big piece of chicken drumstick and chicken soup made the name of the shop (Tori King). Same as other outlet of Keisuke ramen, you are allowed to customize your own ramen from choosing the soup base, oil and texture of noodle. Free eggs are prepared on the table. Big piece of chicken drumstick and chicken soup made the name of the shop (Tori King). Same as other outlet of Keisuke ramen, you are allowed to customize your own ramen from choosing the soup base, oil and texture of noodle. Free eggs are prepared on the table. You can eat the free bean sprouts as an appetizer or eat together with ramen. In order to tell if a ramen is good, I always choose the original taste, without many add-ons, but just a plain nori (a very big piece of seaweed). And of course I add in sesame to enhance the taste of the soup!

Chicken soup is not that strong compared to those made from pork bones. Lighter taste and not so saltish. Very clear good essence of chicken! Choose the texture of ramen to hard, so it will not get soggy easily. The only thing I hope is the soup can be little hotter because as the soup get cooler, it will become very oily.

Lastly, you can enjoy 7% discount on the spot if you scan the QR code and sign up for a free coupon! Email will send to you once you have signed up, but is per person only.

A very small restaurant, which totally matches with the shop space at Tonkotsu too. The highest price it can go up to is $16.90, excluding gst and tax. It has a menu that comprises 3 types of soup, and I specifically prefer black spicy tori king. What I like about them is that I get to so-called "customize" my ramen to my liking. If there are any people not a fan of wasabi, do not go for the green spicy column. Because you will not be able to enjoy your soup, and I had to take each sip of my ramen and soup slowly to prevvent myself from choking due to the pungent taste of wasabi!

For those who likes to instagram their food, etc. probably you might want to go for the most expensive at the bottom of each column, as it comes with a large seaweed! But I think that the seaweed is not crispy at all. I like their cold-marinated beansprouts and theirhard-boiled eggs, which are free-flow!

I order the green spicy tori king ramen.

I personally prefer this. It is more flavourful and savoury. Wasabi is not overpowering but flavourful
Those who likes stronger taste, can order this. And I added the beansprouts. Beansprouts has Abit spicy taste and crunchy. The eggs was good as well - white eggs are also found here.
The drumlet is juicy;) and has alot of meat;) it is quite big in portion;) Grilled chicken drumlet is well marinated.

My boyfriend together with my younger sis ordered the original Tori King Ramen. Original ramen has the chicken broth.
Btw, you can choose the texture of the noodles, soup oil, other ingredients (such as spring onion etc) and also flavour
The grilled chicken steals the show

After placing my order, I am served a cup of water and a small of sesame seeds. You could DIY in grinding the sesame seeds, which can later use as topping for the ramen. Some may like the guy sitting opposite me, just pouring the sesame seeds without grinding into the soup and drink it.

There is free-flow bean sprouts and hard boiled eggs on the table to help yourself to. The white coloured eggs are normal eggs, while the brown coloured ones are low-cholesterol ones. The eggs are not 100% hard boiled, when I try to peel a white egg. The shell tends to stick to the egg white and the egg white is not really firm. The texture of hardness is similar to the flavoured egg. The bean sprouts is soft and tasty, with a hint of spiciness.

There is wide variety of condiments on the table for you to use. Plus boxes of tissue too. Very thoughtful.

I am having the Tori King Ramen Special (All Toppings) at $15.90++. Wow, I am surprised by such a big bowl, especially the big slice of seaweed. The soup is very thick and well flavoured. The noodle is just right for me. I like the char grilled skin of the tender chicken. The char siew is very big piece but lack of the fatty part which is usually found in ramen. Overall it is a very delicious meal. The bill comes up to $18.70.

Ramen Keisuke Tori King is located at the newly opened 100AM. This ramen branch specializes in Chicken Ramen. My friend and I was given an order chit each to order our bowl of ramen. On the order chit there's three choices of ramen - the authentic, the Japanese Seaweed and the one with flavoured egg. When the bowl of ramen came, I was surprised by the portion that was served! There was a whole chicken leg in the soup of ramen. The meat of chicken leg was soft and not overly cooked. The soft boiled egg was really good and perfectly done. Most importantly the soup was really favourful and thick and gooey like how ramen is served in Japan. It was definitely value for money.

Somehow, even some of the patrons and waiters/waitresses looked kinda Japanese after a while... okay it's probably all in the mind. Unless you're coming in groups of three or four, you'll be sitting beside or across strangers. Kind of feels more authentic to me. That's what I see in Japanese dramas anyway. There is also the ramen bar for single diners.

The first moments where I popped the ramen into my mouth, I was almost seeing stars *_* Like wow, where have I been? The noodles are really springy and I think I might never eat instant noodles ever again. And the eggggg - love the gooey gooey yolk, the half-solid-half-liquid, it's what I called perfectly done
(Need a card for a free gooey egg but you can always buy it or have free hard boiled ones) The chicken was quite a huge portion and the taste was passable (hmm I'm picky when it comes to chicken because it's practically my staple food). I think the spectacular part about this bowl of ramen is really the noodles itself. I won't mind eating one entire plain bowl of their ramen noodles + soup! The soup got saltier when I almost finished it, so I think there's no need to get the extra seaweed (which makes the soup salty) if you don't like salty soup.

Generally I think this place is frequented mostly by couples, families and friends. There's also J-pop music playing in the background to create the Japanese atmosphere.

Have always wanted to try this new ramen joint after hearing rave reviews of it. Was on business appointment near this area and had a chance to pop by at around 245pm, their kitchen closes at 3pm and opens again in the evening. And at this timing you smile because you dun have to wait in queue to get a seat. There are two kinds of seating here, one is the bar counter but you dun get to see the chef preparing food and the other are common table and chairs. The place is decorated with lots of japanese propaganda from comic to calligraphy to random japanese signage. i told the waitress its my 1st time here and not sure how to order, this is when she pass me a form for me to customize my ramen according to the ramen type (there is the classic, the spicy and the one with wasabi), noodle texture, soup base level, opt out of any toppings (fried onions, green onions), oil level etc. I chose the tori king ramen special. While waiting i explored the table further, you will be given a small saucer with sesame seed for you to grind to your liking, you can also help yourself to the hard boiled egg (normal & low cholesterol two different options), you are also given a generous bowl of marinated bean spout, a sambal lookalike chilli sauce for the chicken and also the spicy chilli oil sauce which if you add it is equivalent to the type 2 ramen i mention above. i must say for once i felt japanese restaurant served tasty bean sprout and its a nice appetizer. You also have bonito flakes for you to add to your soup. My ramen came with a huge piece of seaweed which i tell you wasn't the most chopstick friendly, i ended up soaking it to soft texture and eating it with spoon else there's no way to mouth that huge piece of leave. It also comes with one piece of pork, a tamago and a chicken drum stick. You will be given a separate side plate to put your drumstick. The soup base is thick and concentrated, i was told its chicken based (orchid hotel outlet is pork based), it went well with the green onions combination and does not leave you with feeling of over-dosage of something heavy in taste. The chicken drumstick was soft and easy to peel off, a relief when it comes to eating a drumstick of this size. Though i'm not sure if the mayonnaise is meant for the chicken, i find that the mayonnaise and sambal chilli combination works well for the chicken meat. my bill works out to be $18.70, that's including 10% service charge and 7% gst. Overall it lived up to its expectation and i'm sure looking forward to try the pork based version at orchid hotel down the street soon.

Black Spicy Chicken Noodle. The soup is thick and tasty with black fungus and spring onions garnishes. The chicken is very tender and well seasoned. $12.90 per bowl. Additional charges apply if you wish to have a flavoured egg or a large piece of seaweed topping.

Green Spicy Chicken Noodle with a wisp of wasabi lining the chicken drumstick. Wasabi.. the impression of something hot which gets up the nose and there you are fully alert ^0-. No..the wasabi here is mild and when you stir it into the soup, it simply blends well with the soup making it even tastier with a mild wasabi taste. $12.90 per bowl.

The decor of the shop - traditional Japanese ambience. Feel like you are in a noodle shop in Japan.Chicken King as the banner states. This shop specializes in Chicken Noodles. Another outlet at Tras Link, Orchid Hotel #01-19 (which I have written a review before) specializes in Pork Noodles. One thing I like about this Ramen Shop is that we really can have a say in how we want our noodles to be cooked- Noodle to be hard, soft or normal, oil level - no oil, less oil or normal. Customers in the queue are given slips of papers to state their choice of noodles, the way they want the noodles to be cooked, choice of toppings etc. Once you are inside the shop, no need to spend time browising the menu, just enjoy their pickles and eggs, pounding the sesame seeds while waiting for the main dish to be served.
