This is one of those restaurants which takes into consideration feedback from customers. The reason why I say this is because the cashier will always check with the customer whether he/she is happy with the food prior to customer leaving the place. Personally, I like the si ji dou (as shown in the first picture). It is flavourful and yet not too salty and hence, I do not have to eat it with rice. The sheng jian bao (as shown in the second picture) is however, as not as tasty as I have expected. The first time I had sheng jian bao was in Shanghai and it tastes much better than this. Therefore I am quite disappointed. As for the pork floss fried rice, I think that it tastes quite good.

I went to Nanxiang for some Dim Sum. The deep fried prawn dumpling was one of the chef's recommendation selection in the restaurant. It costs $4.50 for 3 pieces. The prawn dumpling's crust is very thin and crispy. Its not too oily and has a nice flour taste. The prawn used is very fresh and meaty. It was very crunchy, sweet and juicy. I personally really liked the deep fried prawn dumplings. They are probably the best I've had in Singapore so far. Strongly recommended!

Went to Nanxiang for lunch. Ordered for half a roasted peking duck. The peking duck is served in 2 different plates. One of is is the duck skin, wrapped in egg crepe. It comes with a special sauce which is very strong tasting and sweet. My family like it but I didn't so its probably up to personal preference. The other plate served the duck meat, which is covered in Kobe BBQ sauce. Its moist and sweet. We tried having both the skin and the meat together in one mouthful and it is delicious that w

It costs only $35. Wouldn't mind going back for the peking duck again.

Was recommendated by the service staffs to try this red bean pastry. Was quite surprise the portion of it is very small when served to my table. Moreover, the standard service charge and goods and services tax are not yet included to the price yet.

My second visit to this chinese restaurant. This time round i decided to try one of their noodles dish. Have tried their fried noodles and it was served to me less than ten minutes. The noodes are really chewy and soft. The dark sauce used in cooking the noodles is very fragrant and not too salty. Even though this dish does not have lots of ingredients in it, but the taste is good enough to satisfy you and the portion is also quite generous too!

As Chinese, we cannot eat without noodles and buns which are our forefathers' main source of food input, especially the northerners in ancient China. Nanxiang's steamed buns are awesome. Lion Head meatballs (as shown in the picture) is one of their signature dish. Very huge in size and the pork meat in it is firm and tender. Would be better if it can be fry to crispy. my girlfriend got us some discount voucher from a deal website for nanxiang so we drove over to the branch that she bought which was the plaza singapura’s branch. We had $40 to spend so we were flipping the menu to order our food. In the end, we ordered their fried dumpling, xiao long bao, zh jiang mian, hot and sour soup and a tang bao. It was the first time for us to eat a tang bao and we were rather fascinated at the size of it. You have to suck the soup from a straw. The soup was pretty hot

The fried dumpling was my favourite. The skin was not too thick yet it was really chewy. The meat was very juicy and tasty. It is best eaten with the vinegar.

Service was good.

As the restaurant was highlighting its dim-sum high tea, I might go back again to see whether its high-tea had a better standard.

The staff are kinda service-oriented and are prompt in assisting their customers. In fact, the cashier even ask us for our feedback on the food and inform us that we can tell the waitress if we want less oil and salt in our food in future.

I went to nanxiang for a gathering with old friends. It was my first time there, they served mainly shanghainese food like xiao long bao etc. I ordered their egg fried rice and their hot and sour soup. The rice was really fragrant, love the eggy bits. The hot and sour soup was really good. They pre-seasoned it for me unlike din tai fung where you add your own chilli oil and vinegar. My advise to everyone is take slow and small sip, the soup is really really hot! But it was good. Tasty and makes you wanna have more.

Visited this simple chinese restaurant for dinner after shopping around at Plaza Sing. The to-die-for dish undeniably would be the Salted Egg Prawns. As i am a huge fan of seafood, the prawns were very crunchy and the sauce was fragrant. I was also a huge fan of their signature dish which is the Drunken Chicken. Thumbs up. I thought that the prices were a little on the pricey side for the portions offered, but i will definitely be back for more.

Of all the food that I had ordered, I think that the Xiao Long Bao and Salted Egg Yolk prawn are worth trying. Surprisingly, the service at this restaurant is quite good (not typically of most chinese restaurant). When I told the staff that the chicken cutlet (which is served together with the fried rice) was too salty, the staff apologised immediately and changed a new piece for me.
