Fish Soup - Food Fare (已結業)

Had a bowl of fish soup for $3.80. The soup taste was very light, which is suitable for people who are ill. The soup was only slightly oily too. If you prefer strong tasting food, or fish soup that has a richer flavour, I don't think you will like this. There were 5 fish slices and they had a slight fishy taste to it. Fresh lettuce was also added in the soup. 

Everytime I went to Clementi Mall Foodcourt, I always saw there was a queue at this fish soup stall. There was also many newspaper article recommendation cuttings pasted at the stall.The ordering was quite direct, just said the menu number of the item with or without milk.When the order arrived, it was steamy hot. I was quite disappointed with the fish soup as it was not fresh at all and i was quite surprise there is no tofu in my soup. The soup was served hot just that the taste fish soup was not there. It taste more like plain water to me. Although they gave me a lot of slices of fish, i don't really like it. Fish soup noodle $3.5I always try to search for nice fish soup noodle but still yet to find one in singapore. The soup still cant satisfy my expectation because i have tried once at KL, malaysia which is really damn nice! Anyway this is consider not bad already as compared to what i had before. The fish slice is fried till golden colour, not too oily and they soaked the soup in it. The soup is not bad, but it would taste nicer if there is preserved vege inside.

Fish been hoon soup is usually one my favourite choice of food whenever I feel like going for a short term diet. The one sold here has that really sweet fragrant soup base with generous amount of evaporated milk in it. On a rainy day, I ordered the Fish Soup from this stall.They had a long queue and I had heard that their food is exceptionally good.I was definitely impressed by the taste and quality of the soup!It sure did not disappoint The fish tasted very fresh and there was a generous amount of ingredients within the soup.Definitely one of the best fish soups I've tried

ate too much recently so want to go for something light so settle for fish soup noodles, I ordered the fried fish meat noodles with added fish slices which cost additional $1. I think the fish tasted ok, i prefered the fried fish. but the soup was a little blend and i could not really taste the milk. but i think is still not too bad for a light meal

i think this fish soup store is quite famous because i remember seeing a picture showing the store owner taking a picture with some big shots. i ordered the normal fried fish soup bee hoon, i think the taste was not bad, the soup was quite nice and the fish portion was relatively generous too

This my second time buying from this stall, however the standard seem to have dropped. I order the fish with thai sauce. The fish was very salty and the was not freshly fried. The fish was cold...so miserable to eat food that is not hot. I might think twice again if I were to buy from this stall again

For those fish lovers out there, I would STRONGLY recommend you to patronize this stall. I ordered Plum Sauce Fish Rice, its not really common to see plum sauce on fried fish. To my amazement, the sauce actually goes really well with the fish. What I like best about this is the fish is really really good, it is fresh, silk smooth and not too dry. I also like the fried batter of the fish. From the picture you can see that they are rather generous in giving the fish.

the fish soup at clementi is so popular, i ordered the steamboat style one and even the auntie sitting at the next table asked politely if she could take a picture of my food. well it was indeed delicious, it came in a steamboat pot with a flaming fire to keep it warm. the fish was fried till golden brown and the soup was so milky. they were generous with their seaweed and cabbage as well. it was indeed a hearty meal.

i love the fish soup here. it is called cheng long. apparently they have another branch at vivo, i love it there too! this fish soup is very milky and tasty. great for cold weathers. the fish they use are very fresh and fried till golden brown. yummy!
