I went back for this pork with cheese curry rice. The curry is really tasty! Mixed it around with the rice and dipped your fried meat in it. Absolutely heavenly! The pork was fried till it is really crispy on the outside and juicy and succulent on the inside. Not only that, it is stuffed with cheese inside as well. Yummy to the max! My friend and I was shopping at Orchard ION and was not able to decide what dinner to have. We happen to passby Ginza Bairin and saw there is a long queue. we guess the food must be good and decide to give it a try. We will need to make payment 1st to order the food and was given a queue number for the food to be served. Food is good and don't mind to eat again. the tonkatsu is crispily breaded and the curry is just awesome!

This katsu curry set's portion was quite generous. i like the katsu because the meat was fried to very crispy and tit is not very oily. tThe curry is really tasty and flavourful. The curry was the Japanese kind of curry, totally not spicy at all.It taste very nice when i mixed it around with the rice and dipped fried meat in it. The chicken was so tender and juicy. The outside was so crunchy and crispy.

This restaurant has one of the nicer katsu don in town. The meat is chewy and tender, which has this thin layer of crunchy bread crumbs over it which make it really delicious. The Japanese rice used in this dish is also very soft and fragrant, which goes well with the katsu. The mayonnise sauce is very creamy and blend in well with the katsu too. The presentation is nice and the portion is quite generous.

Fresh and succulent fried pork slices that blended really well with the flavourful curry. Rice was also hot and fragrant. I also enjoyed the carrot pieces in the curry, well cooked and tasty. Also worth mentioning is the free flow miso soup which was also good. Overalll i enjoyed the meal and felt really full and satisfied this is a must try for pork katsu lovers!

I went to ginza bairin for dinner with my girlfriend, luckily we went slightly earlier at about 5 plus so there was not much of a queue. I ordered their chicken katsu don. I went with my wife for dinner,it was super long queues during dinner time & we had to share tables with other peoplesI had their katsu don with eggs on it,It was quite special as seldom japanese meal have this kind of egg on top,it's usually cooked egg on top The meat was quite chewy but a bit firm ,the sauces of the meat was abit salty but after eating it will crave for more,haha I also see that they have promotion from 3pm to 5pm they have some cheap lunch deal

It my first time being here and the food over here is relatively expensive yet there's long queue. I was attracted by the crowd and also the "fake" bowl decorations for its specialities!I find that it is abit salty, however the egg tastes nice and the meat is also tender yet non-oily. Overall i felt that it is not bad, and would only come again if there is no queue. The bad thing is they don't serve you plain water, and you have to get utensils by yourself.

Heard so many good reviews of the Katsu and hence, decided to try it. Yes, I can totally understand why many people like the Katsu as it is crispy, tender (the meat) and tasty. With an addition of an egg, the Katsu don is simply delicious!However, I find that the food is relatively quite expensive, especially given the fact that it is a self-service restaurant which doesn't even serve plain water.

Is my 5th time going there for dinner,never been there for monthsAs usual during dinner time take about 20-30mins I ordered their katsu chicken curry & katsu don for $31.20 included GST The katsu chicken curry tasted the same & i love their katsu chicken,which was very crispyI also tried katsu pork Don,with pork katsu & eggs,their pork was really very hard to chew,but the sauce tasted quite good,Overall i rate 8/10

saw this salmon katsu don on the poster so decided to give it a try. it is some what like oyako don, the salmon is deep fried and the layer on top with egg. the salmon tasted not too bad but the sauce was too salty such that it mask the salmon taste such that all i can taste was just saltiness. the egg was still not too bad, quite nice and soft but also too salty

revisit this store recently and ordered the karage set to try because i felt the karage tasted best from the mix fried set. the karage was fried to perfection and was piping hot when the waitress served me the dish but i felt this time the chicken was too salty and too oily. as for the sesame sauce which i do not know was meant for the salad or dipping sauce for karage, it just tasted so nice. but i felt the price was a little steep for the sets so that is one of the down side
