There were 3 levels of spiciness to choose from - Red, black and white. I tried the Black Spicy Ramen which was a peppery and spicy mix for broth. The noodles were tangy and the pork slices were soft and tender but I would have liked the yolk of the ramen egg to be a tad more underdone. I must say that with practically the entire foodie world raving about Ramen Keisuke Tonkotsu ...

I came across Platypus Kitchen on OpenRice and saw pretty good reviews, hence I decided to try out for myself! It was a weekday dinner with my friend and the restaurant was relatively quiet. Their menu offer a wide selection of pasta and if you pay for the set meals, will cost around $19.90 (bef gst). For the set meals, you get to pick a Pasta, Tea/Coffee & Soup or Salad. M...

Attempted this New Outlet at Somersat. Pretty Cool Place with the White Deco !! The whole Outlet looks clean and the service staff have doctor's uniform. Unfortunately, there was not much offering but the Deserts and some cakes are from Korea. Checked that it was a New Choice by TCC. Noticed that there are more and more Korean Restaurants, Cafes around. It ...

This is a place definitely worth it to visit even though it may be a challenge for many to find the venue. But any place that serves good food is worth that occasional taxi trip I guess. An open concept dining place, don't expect to have the air-con treatment but with the multiple huge fans all around, you will not feel the heat. The place is big enough for parties up the size of 150, so ...

Sometimes, I come across something so good, that every bite felt soul shining and that I momentarily lose myself in my food. Lunch at Sumiya Charcoal Grill Izakaya @ Orchard Central is just that and perhaps abit more. Hidden in a little loft at Orchard Central, this gem of a restaurant is one of Orchard’s best kept secret that I almost didn’t feel like sharing.Sumiya is offer...

A visit to PhoPho during lunch time proved to be a good choice because our food was served fairly quickly. The mango salad is artifully made, with thinly sliced green mangoes, carrots and cucumbers with sesame sauce sprinkled at the top. A good start to a healthy lunch. One good thing about this dish is that I don't have to peel the prawns. The prawns were fresh and sliced into half. T...

My friends and I were walking at Westmall and came across this small shop on the first floor. Decided to go in and try it out. The shop is quite small but when we went in it was around 5pm so it was not crowded....thank god! There are menus for Rice and Noodle. My friend's cousin ordered the beef udon soup, it was quite good according to her. I tried the soup and she was right, the s...

Milk and Honey is housed right in the heart of a neighborhood in Bukit Batok. Here, they focus not only on their popular gelato and quaffles, they have also introduced a wide range of plated desserts, salads and sandwiches as well. At Milk and Honey, they hope to bring family and friends together to bond through a simple meal.Milk and Honey Cafe retains a minimalist approach within...

The main purpose to visit this restaurant was to try this unique dish called, Deep Fried Pork Rib. It is a must-to-try dish. According to them, the pork rib is chewy and easy to bite and I believe the taste would be great and goes well with their special sauce. The fish was fresh and tasty. It did not overly cooked until dry. I believe this is also one of their speciality. It is a ni...

Definitely one of the better California Roll I've tried altogether in town. Ichiban Sushi located at Toa Payoh HDB hub is like one of the only choices for dinner if you are looking for a restaurant after a long day at work. From a wide range of conveyor belt sushi to shashimi to udon and other Japanese food, this is the ideal place for dinner with love ones, they are just beside ...

Ann Siang Hill has gone through a revamp, with new joints stepping in and up! So when my dearest Agnes Lin (ex-boss, ex-colleague and friend) hunted me down for a dinner catch up with two other pals with her craving for Japanese food - I jumped to try Yen Yakiniku out! Key Takeaways: - Yakiniku means "grilled meat" - Quality food and great service whic...

In need of a quick dinner bc catching a 730pm m0vie 😛. 1st in Q, however still need to wait due to seats all occupied. Ordered a Ramen, Fried Rice & a Chicken Katsu for 2pax. Kanitama Ramen came first… Ramen texture is chewy, soup quite tasty but the essence of Kanitama Crabmeat & mushroom omelette was soaked into the soup. Wouldn't order this again. Would order t...

Have been planning for a Brunch Date with my friends and we finally settled at Toby's. Ordered croissant, eggs royale, coffee, tea as seen in the photos below. Love the combination of 'salted' bread with eggs and salmon! Personally, for breakfast items such as eggs benedict or eggs royale, I preferred 'salted' bread than 'sweeten' bread to go along with the eggs. And the bre...
